I must admit, I quite liked FS. The art wasn't the most incredible out there, but the writing kept drawing me on, and that crew have MacGyvered the ship from here to forever! And you kept coming up with new ways/means/needs to do it! On top of that, this recurring theme never really seemed to get old. I still want to know what's going to happen, and how long the ship can hold together. I hope things stabilize for you Tirdun, and please remember this wacky place you've created.
P.S. One thing was bugging me about the strip, there appears to be 3 destinct types of FTL, one per species. Two appear to be near instantaneous, and the humans appears substantially slower. Is this correct? If it is, aren't the humans at a significant disadvantage? How do they come by thier power/influence? And why aren't the 'triangle tunnels' used for more contiguous communication? (ie. a interworld internet) Or what have I missed?
Sorry to hear about it.

Thanks, yeah the art sucked
I have some long-term plan on returning to FS, but I don't know the whens or hows just yet.
The two types of FTL I had in the strip were either slow-and-constant (like the FS's gravity outrigger) or a jumping type, such as with the Gaur. The Jump type is nearly instant, but has a limited range and uses a huge amount of power. So the Gaur warships jump into a sector and launch fighters, like an aircraft carrier. They can't really move around very fast once they've arrived. The Terran military does use some jump types, especially on huge capital ships, but favors gravity drives for their range.
