revenge

Post by Halo299 »

I have found myself contemplating the act of revenge, and am looking for advice.

I have no desire to do anything outright hurtful or illegal or anything like that, but i wouldn't mind taking action that would cause some long term annoyance to a particular person.

so far i have considered just slipping their address, phone number, and/or email address into the internet and letting the spammers, junk mail people, and telemarketers do the rest.

Are there any things i need to consider before doing this? are there any really effective ways of accomplishing this?

What a coincidence. I've had similar feelings for another person too, recently.

My advice:

Befriend some Yugoslavs and casually mention your troubles.

Oh, and make an out of town trip when the action goes down.

(Unfortunately, my Yugoslavs backed out of the deal. But it still might be worth a try.)

Unless you are sado-masochistic I would just let it drop and never talk to the person again. This can only end badly for you both. Inflicting pain, suffering, or sadness on others rarely results in good things for you.

Let me explain...

Unless you kill the person who pissed you off, anything you do will make them an enemy for life. You'll always be looking over your shoulder. If you make them miserable, they will make everyone else around them miserable.

I have no fear of those things. this person is already an enemy for life. and i really don't even see the need to even let them know that i am the cause of there suffering. It would just help me feel better to know that it is happening.

Let me reiterate.

Befriend some Yugos.

My favored method of revenge is to befriend my enemy, and then pull strings from a position of trust, so that I can walk in just as they're at their worst, and go "Ta-dah! It was me all along."

I should also note, I have done this more than once.

You see, I can't do that, Churba.

I wear my emotions on my sleeve too much. If I want to cause someone harm, it's very obvious.

My desires are obvious before I've formulated a plan. That alone is a deterrent for me.

Simple things can cause great annoyance.

For example:

This link here is the online change of address form for the US post office(I assume other countries have similar, I'm not sure I remember where you live, even so it can be done in person but that will expose you).

This link (Mailinator) provides a free, anonymous, no-signup E-mail checking service(there are several others available, it was just first on Google search).

With the two, working from an anonymous location such as a net cafe(pay cash), you should be able to redirect his mail to basically anywhere you want.

I've never actually tried this technique(but I have used the old paper forms in my hometown ten or so years ago for the same thing), but if it works it's simple, clean, no real way to trace it back to you, no direct physical harm just lots of headaches.

For the vindictive, use the Temporary option and redirect his mail for a month at a time at random intervals over the next year and he'll likely never even realize what's going wrong.

"Sometimes when I feel like killing someone, I do a little trick to calm myself down. I'll go over to the person's house and ring the doorbell. When the person comes to the door, I'm gone, but you know what I've left on the porch? A jack-o'-lantern with a knife in the side of it's head with a note that says 'you.'

After that, I usually feel a lot better, and no harm done."

Oh well, you'll just have to stab him gently as a warning then.
