She's one of mine too, and this is truly tragic. She's got a 1 year old daughter and she's 8 months pregnant with a son...I made a small donation to her through her site, just to do what little I can to help a truly marvelous woman through one of the worst tragedies anyone can endure.

"It is the difference between the unknown and the unknowable, between science and fantasy - it is a matter of essence. The four points of the compass be logic, knowledge, wisdom and the unknown. Some do bow in that final direction. Others advance upon it. To bow before the one is to lose sight of the three. I may submit to the unknown, but never to the unknowable. The man who bows in that final direction is either a saint or a fool. I have no use for either."
I agree her last update was very touching and sad.
She is a memver of Mensa and is very good at Unreal Tournement and programing and such. SHe is someone that I hope will find her peace with this. I am going to send her a card so I can express my sympathies.
A widow with a baby and another on the way, no job, no money, no insurance? That's really, really bad. If you have some money to spare please consider putting some in her online tip jar.

I always wondered why people join Mensa. Surely it's not too hard to find smart people unless your IQ is above 160ish? All the people who get in when they can find equally smart people if they just looked for them make no sense.
