She's one of mine too, and this is truly tragic. She's got a 1 year old daughter and she's 8 months pregnant with a son...I made a small donation to her through her site, just to do what little I can to help a truly marvelous woman through one of the worst tragedies anyone can endure.

I don't know who Asia Carrera is, but senseless deaths are always sad. Poor woman. Poor kids. "Why isn't daddy coming home anymore?"

Oh, hell.
"It is the difference between the unknown and the unknowable, between science and fantasy - it is a matter of essence. The four points of the compass be logic, knowledge, wisdom and the unknown. Some do bow in that final direction. Others advance upon it. To bow before the one is to lose sight of the three. I may submit to the unknown, but never to the unknowable. The man who bows in that final direction is either a saint or a fool. I have no use for either."

She is (or claims to be) also pretty good a Quake and various other geeky pursuits.

That last update about father's day was particularly touching, but very sad.

I agree her last update was very touching and sad.

She is a memver of Mensa and is very good at Unreal Tournement and programing and such. SHe is someone that I hope will find her peace with this. I am going to send her a card so I can express my sympathies.

A widow with a baby and another on the way, no job, no money, no insurance? That's really, really bad. If you have some money to spare please consider putting some in her online tip jar.

She's also a member of MENSA.

Yeah, that part never impressed me too much though. (BTW, Unreal not Quake, my mistake.)

Sad to hear. She has my sympathies.

On a side note, all the people I know who are in MENSA are total dicks.

I keep hearing that MENSA is right wing nut house.

A shame about Asia's husband.

I'm in Mensa... :P

Not everyone is a nutcase, but the loudest ones have a tendency to be heard the most... >.<

Thank goodness they're revamping the magazine to be more balanced, with less "you suck" "no you suck" "o rly?" "ya rly" in the letters to the editor.

I always wondered why people join Mensa. Surely it's not too hard to find smart people unless your IQ is above 160ish? All the people who get in when they can find equally smart people if they just looked for them make no sense.
