Wooo! Alright kids, break out your sewing kits and pink triangles, American President Bush is urging the Senate to pass a Constitutional ban on gay marriage.

The next logical step is to ban gays and have them removed from the United States Under God of America, probably involving some sorts of camps and maybe ovens and showers.

First of all the Amendment is political bullshit and Mad King George knows it. All he is trying to do is rally the conservative vote as a last ditch effort to keep the House under Republican control. Every Republican in the Senate knows damn well its never going to pass.

Fortunately, Bill Clinton fired back for the Democrats with an AIDS awareness special on CNN. They're still nowhere near finding a cure, its just fighting bullshit with bullshit.

As for homosexuality, it has been established that there are numerous real genetic conditions for causing homosexuality in people. Scientific studies have shown the homosexual brains react differently to the chemical reactions that cause emotional, physical and sexual attraction than they do in heterosexual brains. Also we have established that there are over a dozen gender disorders that can cause physical defects within a person's body and genitalia (look to that self-loathing gender bender Mann Coulter for a clear cut case of Androgen Insensitivity Syndrome). It would be at the very least irresponsible to suggest that these disorders wouldn't affect the parts of the brain that cause sexual attraction as well. I would love to see Mad King George go on the air and tell these people who they can and can not have relationships with.

Chances are, however, once the true nature of the condition is found, a genetic cure may eventually be available - and that will cause a whole new level of social feuds (much like the movie X-Men 3).

Regardless, homosexuality is in fact a genetic condition and as such, it can NOT be legally discriminated against. Homosexual individuals must be given the right to marry.

It just looks like button pushing to maintain much needed support but delivering nothing. Bush always struck me as a corporatist abusing the support of religious nutters who are suckers for perpetual, moral conflict that goes nowhere.

The neocons do not want to expel homosexuals as they're too convenient as scapegoats. An 'enemy' that aren't easily understood and are seemingly insidious. Perpetual war and fear is a great distraction.

Though I think a de facto US theocracy is forty years away. Run! Get out while you can!

Liberals always present this argument (which I will refer to as the "Homosexuality as a disease" argument), and it always creeps me out because: A) it will never persuade the religious right because they do not agree that sexual orientation is wholly genetic, B) it confirms their belief that homosexuality is a sickness, and C) it does not extend to people who choose their orientation.

As an alternative, I think this is stronger (and not just because of the profanity): "Yes I fuck dudes / chicks. This is America, and that is my fucking right. Choice or not you have no grounds to discriminate against me."

A) True. Sadly, they are the ones running the show these days.
B) To people who do not think it is a disease (you, me, the sane world), I certainly agree. However, to people who think that homosexuality should be irradicated / cured, this belief is a godsend.
C) And here we just plain ol' fashion do not agree. I think it is naive to say that all homosexuality is a choice; I also think it is naive to say that no homosexuality is a choice.
