With proper budgeting, the frequency of checks shouldn't matter too much... (Interest and lost investment returns notwithstanding.) I wouldn't want to be paid twice a year, but every week, every two weeks, every month, doesn't matter too much if your careful.

Me, I don't mind monthly payments. At least I then get a big slug of cash all in one go, not little nibbles over the course of a month. It's all about budgeting.

For 'lesbian', you could just use "toha vithanna j'nesst", which means "same sexual woman". Not perfect, I know, but it might work. ^^ For 'butch' use "nesst lorith", which is "man looking". Again, a case of 'better a passable answer now than a perfect answer later', but meh.

I was gonna say... You'd be surprised how many languages don't have a discreet word for "lesbian". Hell, English didn't until fairly recently. In most languages, it ends up being a construct like "same sex love woman" and they adopt a phoneticization as the preferred street term....
