Ah! The Finns are gonna take over the world with their lumberjack mechas! It's now up to Shonen Knife to save us!
All around hear the sound
No-one can stop us now,
A thousand rules for plastic fools
Now they can take a bow.
Surely there's been time to see it dosn't work by now,
So if I like it, I do it

MWAHAHAHAHA! Your puny little-boy knife can not stop us! We will march on, crushing all resistance, stopping only for coffee break, lunch break, weekends, holidays, four weeks of vacation in summer and one in winter...
This webcomic, seen here is hosted on the free web host Comic Genesis which pretty much proves its not popular.
Oh noes! Read all about the tormented artist I am!

That's pretty neat. I can't imagine what you'd use it for, but it's really neat.

You mean the ability to move around really slowly in a sensitive environment that can also accomidate a big, heavy machine.

The only reason I could think of that you'd need such a thing is if you wanted to bring something big and heavy over a wide area of uneven terrain, and didn't care how long it took to get there. However, it doesn't look like that thing has any place to store cargo.

I'm sure eventually they'll make one that's either faster or can carry stuff, but right now it's just a gizmo that looks pretty cool, like that jetpack that can only carry you about 30 meters.

It's actually being used in the logging industry. The idea is that it doesn't rip up the ground like treaded or big-tired trucks. Since you don't cut down trees in huge numbers (clear-cutting is bad), you don't have to carry a whole lot of them at one time. So the bug-mecha carries the cut trees out to the access road as they're cut while doing minimal damage to the forest.
