Happy buttsex to you, Happy buttsex to you, Happy buttsex Unca Ghastly, Happy buttsex to you.

I'm looking at 18 in 8 months. I'm that close to being of legal age to star in porn. How 'bout that. Lah-dee-dah.

Wow Ghastly, that was a a profound and beautiful statement on the difference between aging and maturing.

Now, usually I'd question a perspective on maturity from the inventor of the "Faceless Cock Drone", but I know good advice when I hear it!

Happy Birthday!

Happy birthday, Unk'a Ghastly, and many many more. Also, thanks for the advice: even some of us old guys can learn a thing or two from it, as well.

May you be constantly embraced in the tentacles of love.

Yes, good words for those of us that are 23 and wondering if they're having a mid-life crisis already.

Of course, the combination of the gentle prodding from my parents (I'm almost positive the only reason I'm still allowed to live here is cause I provide investment advice and occasional entertainment) and the reading of John Taylor Gatto's latest book about how the American school system has more or less damaged (partially, at least) me beyond repair, is enough to get anyone down.

May you live as long as you want, and never want as long as you live.
And here's to many more. *hoists a glass* And in keeping with good Irish tradition (wouldn't my Mum be proud!) . . .

Walls for the wind, and a roof for the rain, and drinks beside the fire - Laughter to cheer you, and those you love near you, and all that your heart may desire!

Cheers.

Best to ya,

dude. Why give us the gift of well thought out wisdom in text form on YOUR birthday?

I have no idea. But thank you Ghastly for these insights and thank you for having a birthday that let you pour this stuff out!

I wish you a happy birthday, and also wish to point out that you are fortunate to still view your birthdays as happy events. For some reason, many seem to think life ends at 25 or 30 or 35 or whatever, and the years after that are simply various grey shades of death, before the eventual pure death at the end of the road. Its a sad thought to have, and one that i'm glad you don't have, seeing as its complete garbage. A toast to the all too rarely grasped idea that our flesh is not what defines our vitality, but that its something much more constant. A wrinkle doesn't mean you've become dull, unless you let it.

Keep it up, and may you have only as many additional years as you wish for, and not a day more or less.

Happy birthday Unca Ghastly!

(Yes I know I'm late, It's because of the time zones, yes, that's it!)

Remember: If you haven't grown up by the age 40, you don't have to. I have complete confidence in you. 364 days and counting...

I gave you birthday wishes yesterday in LJ, but I feel the need to give a belated birthday wish in here too!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY! and don't think of yourself as being old. You've got plenty of life left in you.... unless the canadian beer you drink has already rotted away your liver.

Happy birthday Ghastly. I agree you;re netirely right aobut "deciding who you are at 18" for most peoples. The most sensible thing i ever did (at 25) WAS DECIDE TO NOT DECIDE.
Damn me but that made life better.

Happy belated birthday Hoser!

I tried to call you, but I couldn't get through - then I drank a few beers and forgot until it was too late in the night. I'll try to call you this weekend.
