Oooh! I have the Czech of that game. My grampa was Czech, but I don't speak a word of it. Fortunatly it comes with a cheat sheet with English translations of the cards, but you're only alowed to use it while you have "the brain".

It's a tad late in the game, but expressions of gratitude are always positive!

1. The end of the semester is within sight and the smell of freedom nigh.
2. The very welcoming reception of this forum. *makes doe eyes at all welcome-ers*
3. Exciting summer prospects at hand in work, academics, sex and love.
4. The strengthening of existing friendships and the adorably tentative first steps toward new ones.
5. Bright, shiny new books for the summer!

And, of course, 6. The int@rwebz.
A man said to the Universe...

There's also Dead Money... it's okay, but GMtB is better. And are you surprised at all that I have all of the Zombie games? I didn't think so.

CheapAss Games makes some of the best games evar -- mostly quirky, funny and irreverent... and cheap! I also suggest Kill Doctor Lucky and Deadwood. I just bought Enemy Chocolatier this weekend, but haven't played it yet.

I also recommend Guillotine from Wizards of the Coast. Fun, quick, straightforward.

Oh... er, sorry. Got a little geek on you.

*brush* *brush*
As an official Steve Jackson Games MIB, I think that's just fine.

I prefer GMtB as well over LotF. We finished off the night with a nice long game Arkham Horror. And no, to my knowledge no one was tentacle raped. Would have played Guillotine or Bang! but the wife and Reesa-Chan were tired and crashed out.

We have a few board games, card games, roleplaying games, etc...my being ridiculously old and an MIB doesn't help.

On topic of more gratitude I'll add:

Friends who stay over so late they end up crashing out on your sofa.

A valid reason to not attend a Gaming Convention without causing issues between the Gaming Director and the Convention I run gaming for.

Only working an hour and a half so the wife can go to an interview at Duke Health after having been off due to health reasons.

There this time I linked bits realizing not everyone is as geeky as I am and preserving DmentDStuff from having to come out.

I've been an outed geek for a very long time now. "I'm here! I'm weird! Get used to it!"

I balance it out by being very personable, charismatic and generally a good human being to everyone I meet (did I mention that I'm humble?). I have mad social skillz, yo.

Let me add to the list of things I'm thankful for, since I'm here anyway:
  • Big hearted folks that keep company, entertain and keep safe the people that I care for in this world.
  • European imports.
  • Living in a town with an exceptional ratio of beautiful women in it. My eyes are never bored.
  • Coming home to fine company and companions, scattered to the winds as they all may be.

In my defense for crashing semi-early, I was exhausted because I'd had an all-nighter the night before while working on finishing Birthday presents for this weekend (Birthday weekend - two Birthdays + Mother's Day in the immediate family in a three day span of time.) I'd also been living jungle gym for 2-3 kids since a little before noon, and I'm out of practice.

Gratitudes?

Awesome people who go out of their way to provide food (whether it'd be monetary contributions or providing transportation or gifts - and several Forumites are included on this list ~_^)

People who pay attention to random little things you say and then use that information in constructive ways

Fun night of games

Getting to spend lots of time playing and cuddling with kids (don't know how much you miss it until you're suddenly inundated with them ^_^)

Other people staying in town over summer so I get lots of socialization

Invitations to join gaming groups (your wife is awesome, YSMM ^_^)

Anticipation of a great and busy weekend

Nearing the end of the excretion of blood and dead egg from my nether regions

Internet

Awesome goodies from the Farmer's Market

Recent lack of uber-depression

I'm grateful for:

a. My clearance finally getting approved at TSA so I can get to work on that project.

b. the fact that my company finally blocked access to the MSNBC message boards so I don't get tempted to waste my day on them any longer.

People who will talk to you about nothing in particular in the middle of the night when you're triggering and in need of a distraction.

I am incredibly grateful for nearly pain-free dentistry.

In fact, I cannot stress how grateful I truly am for it.
I shall keep myself in oysters for the rest of the week, thank you very much.

Friends who will come over and stay the night so you don't have to get up with the wife at 1am so she can have some medical test done.

Plus they're baking!!
