I don't understand... I thought most newbs were lurkers for a while before joining... They generally know to expect a welcome rape.

Actually, I was referring to an old movie whose name I can't remember and which I didn't actually see, but a notable line is something like "Weeble wooble weeble wooble you are one of us!"

That "one of us, one of us" line comes from that old 1930's midgetploitation film "Freaks."
It occurs during the scene of the post wedding celebrations between the beautiful acrobat bitch Cleo, and the tiny, good-natured (and independently wealthy) Hans. The "freaks" are in attendance with the "normal" circus performers (as they're so described in the film) and the freaks decide to put on a show for the bride, culminating in offering Cleo a "love-cup" of wine, out of which the entire freakage has sipped from previously. Cleo is repulsed, but they try to force it on her, all chanting that famous and quite bizzare line, "One of us, ONE OF US, ONE OF US, gobble, bobble, gobble."

Of course, it's been parodied mercilessly since then, so you could've heard it in many many other places

(by the way, if you can find the original version [it was edited post release partly due to audiences weak stomachs, and partly due to studio "hand-of-God-ness"] you can really see the nasty piece of work Cleo become "one of them."

Speaking of why/how we joined, I lurked for a fair while, but never noticed the rapage... Sad but true, I either got no welcome rape, or it was so good that the ecstasy of all those penguins blew it from my minds memories. Nevertheless I've gleaned quite enough pleasure from this forum for it not to matter.....much....
