It seems like a simple enough image to start on. (Simple as opposed to, well, having a lot more non-white, non-lines pixels, complex gradients, etc.)

Unfortunately, I have no way of sharing my work... While I theoretically have webspace on Charter, I have never quite figured out how to access it... And I'm not too keen on using these "free" services out there.

Mine is progressing, albeit slowly... Remember, this is the first time I've ever colored in a line drawing. Add to that learning all the little nuances of using GIMP.

I have her colored in, as well as the towel or dress, whatever it is. No guarentees that I got the colors right (Did she have green eyes? Cause she does now...) but no highlighting or lowlighting.

Always ready for criticism, if anyone wants to see the in-progress work...

I'm not sure if GIMP can do this (never used it), but this is what I do in Photoshop.

1) Open the original in Photoshop (duh)
2) Highlight the whole canvas and cut the image (leaving only a blank slate)
3) Switch from Layers to Alpha Channels (make sure the image is set to RGB mode)
4) Create a new alpha channel (Should be a black space)
5) Past the line art into the alpha channel
6) Invert the whole alpha channel
7) Ctrl-click the alpha channel. This will highlight only the dark portions of the lineart
8) Switch to Layers and on an empty layer fill the selection. Fill as many times as you think necessary to get clean lines
9) Begin coloring (under the line art with seperate layers for various portions of the image (skin, clothing, hair, background)

No guarentees that I got the colors right (Did she have green eyes? Cause she does now...) but no highlighting or lowlighting.

If you want to stick to cannon, Peach is Blonde haired and blue eyed. Like so.

That's pretty much what I did, except I didn't know how to edit alpha channels directly (they don't call them alpha channels, they call them layer masks, and that threw me off for a bit)...

As for the canonical colors... I like my colors better. I hereby declare that she's dyed her hair (it's kinda orange-blonde as it stands now) and is wearing color contacts. I've never been that big on the concept of "canon" anyway...

Dude... Are you kidding? Look at that face! There's nobody home! I've seen sextoys that look like you could hold a better conversation with 'em, and even if I was into "you don't need to talk to 'em to fuck 'em partners, I'd need three bags for anything that blue eyed and blonde.

It's rather odd, but it seems to me there are, in fact, two Peaches. I base this on the fact that, for a long time, I thought there were two princesses, the vapid Princess Peach and the intelligent, strong willed, will-kick-your-ass Princess Toadstool (who only got caught by Bowser because he snuck up on her). However, I've heard arguments that, in fact, there is only one: Princess Peach Toadstool.

I'd suggest that it might be Multiple Personality Disorder, but I'm not overly confident that such a condition exists.

Do you know how large the Mushroom Kingdom is? All those diverse races, all living there in peace (for the most part, the Koopa insurgents do like to cause trouble every now and again) that takes a hell of a lot of skill.

That being said, I bet she's also a tiger in the sack.

I think that is due not to Princess Peach, but to Princess Daisy. I'm of the opinion a firey Red Head holds the power in The Mushroom Kingdom using Peach as a figurehead. Plus Daisy is a wicked golfer.

That said, I'm pretty certain that Peach is a demon in bed. Repression only makes her kinkier.
