While I'm quite aware that it was a symptom of the times, and that he had voiced his deep regret at such depictions, I still can't get past the irony that Dr. Seuss would preach in his cartoons at the dangers of anti-semitism and ignoring the suffering of foreign people, yet turn around only weeks later and draw a cartoon depicting Japanese Americans as enemies infiltrating our society.

Strange stuff. Crazy times lead to crazy thoughts and crazy acts.

Awww man I loved that show. My favorite episode by far was the one where Dr. Scarab's brain got scrambled somehow, and his brother was taking care of him. All he wanted was more pudding!
