http://www.codehappy.net/bmemories/ is, uh, "good" for this kind of stuff. I was disturbed by the amount of Egon/Janine Ghostbusters fanfic knocking around...

How appropriate, then, that Ghastly himself was able to be the one to corrupt any memories of Mollly Star Racer

Here's my own little contribution: Mega Man as a pregnant female robot!

The rest of the site is pretty creepy, too. I've found furries, and Sasami from Tenchi Muyo (for the unfamiliar, she's underage in both the series and the, er, "fanart".)

Technically she's not 'underage', she's actualy quite old(in earth 'years'). But not physically or mentally mature by "Juraian" standards. Or earth standards for that matter.

"Dude, you're sick. Sasami is, like, nine."
"Well, in the OAV she's over 700, so it's okay!"
"Wow, I never thought about it like that before, that's cool!"

Actually I've always taken it to be that Ryoko is over 700 because she spent time on earth thrus through the magic of relativity Ayeka and Sasami only aged 5 year over the course of that time, this also explains the age gap between Yosho and Ayeka. Sasami is about 10 in the anime but the anime takes place in 1992 so Sasami would be 22 now so there.

It should be noted that Jurai people develope normaly like humans as seen with Achika and Tenchi. They however live long lives do to their conection to the holy trees. Sasami is a special cases however as the true Sasami died age 5 and was mearged with the most anceint of holy trees Tsunami, as such Sasami has both mentality of a 10year old and a ageless tree spirit. So age can't really matter for Sasami, any more than it can for Washu.
So just what is Gainax trying to say here?

That's one of the things that gets to me... how do you determine 'underage' in some of the more fantastical settings...

I mean, take Sabre Marionette: The Sabre marionettes are robots, so it shouldn't count... but would you be basing thier age on when they were created? (thousands of years ago), when they were 'born' (ie, awoke, less than a year) or thier mental age?

Or Onegai Teacher. The male lead was in a coma for thee years. Physically and mentally, he's still 15, but legally he's 18... so is that still underage?

Or am I just putting too much thought into it...

Too much though... way too much..

Remember, in the disclaimer at the begining of Holy Virgins it says that all characters are 19 or over. Even though they look 14, are all having their first periods, and have no public hair... but the disclaimer says they are all over 19.

I usually just cut out the issue altogether by saying,

"It's not our universe, they're not real people, it doesn't matter."

I find this solves most such quandries; SCOTUS agrees with me.

Over at 4Chan they call Ichigo the "Guilt Free Loli" since she's physically 15, but actually 21.

Ichigo from Tokyo Mew Mew?

Which I thought was hentai till I noticed they are going to show it on Fox

heh.. and I thought there was a corolation.. Ichigo.. if you split it to ichi go, it's 1 and 5 (using counting numbers) 15 would be ichijuugo if you went in sequence, but I thought maybe her name was a pun.

We had that game. My sister would play it incessantly for hours, and drive me and my brother nuts. It was essentially a paper doll set with a soundtrack.

You know, I had that same conversation with an old roommate. I was the one going "Dude, you're sick."

Yay! Another knowledgeable Tenchi fan. I thought that Ayeka and Sasami were in stasis on the ship during the travel, and were awoken at Yosho or Ryoko's lifesign. But anyway, Sasami IS underage.

Also, at the end, you see Yosho without the "disguise" and he looks quite young. Washu, though, she is a special case-but I think she'd prefer to be a bit older looking when she's being sexy. The OAV had such a better plot.

We'll have to start an Irish Anime Fund--Donate your old anime vids and send them to Australia. Used DVD's and "Blank" tapes at $0.05 (Canadian  ) a piece to avoid duty.

Try telling that to Tsunami as she is Sasami unless you could do something to the tree herself.
Depends on the version of Tenchi Muyo anyway.
Tenchi Muyo Ryo-ohki version 1: Tsunami = Sasami
Tenchi Muyo TV version 2: Unknown if the conection between Tsunami and Sasami exists
Shin Tenchi: A blight on Tenchi Muyo so it doesn't matter.
Pretty Sammy (Mihoshi SP ending) version 1: Unknown the Tenchi appeared to be dating Sasami
Pretty Sasami OAV version 2: If I'm not mistaken Sasami goes to Junior High so she'd be atleased 13 I'd guess, I'd need to check that it's been to long since I watched it.
Pretty Sasami (Tenchi TV) version 3: In acordance with Washu's dimention distorter all events should fall under same time frame of Tenchi TV
Pretty Sasami TV version 4: I don't know about this (How did a Magical Girl anime spoof become that which it spoofed again?)

As for Saber Marrionettes J, well there androids as such they can't be held to human devolpmental standered ever anyway. So if some one created such advanced AI androids they have to created a whole new moral and legal set of codes for such, and it'd probably get very complicated.
So just what is Gainax trying to say here?
