I've got a job interview tomorrow - wish me luck

Post by Kingofthemorlocks »

Tomorrow at 3:45 I have a job interview at the public library. 14-hour work week, making $5.40 an hour if I get it. And I really want this job. This would be perfect for me, I love the library more than I love my own house. IRL I am not a social person. I prefer books to people, especially the hominids I'm forced into contact with at the high school.

I filled out my application all nice and neat, I gave plenty of references (including a librarian who knows me from summers spent volunteering at the library, and a friend of mine who got a job there) all that's left is to ace the interview.

I will be wearing a tie. I will do fine.

If any of the ladies here want to give me a good-luck spanking, let me know.

Well, in show business it is bad luck to wish someone good luck, so I'll just say, "Break a leg!" (...someone else's if you don't get the job, though, somehow, I think you're not going to have a problem.)

Maybe fixed. If KinkOfMorlocks is a girl then it's probably a sure thing for getting any job, but if he's a guy then you just lost him a job...

Oh well, I suppose he could apply for a job at a porn company. They're always looking for someone!

I've known a lot of women in HR... and quite a few gay men in management. All he'd need is a well toned buttocks and he's golden. A cock like a baby's arm couldn't hurt either.

Man, whenever I'm around, elephants gets all bitchy with jealousy.

Job interview went very well, I think I stand a good chance of getting the job. I got brownie points because a few years back I volunteered there during the summer, and several other people who work there can give glowing accounts of me.

Man, the stars are right or something, because the girls are all over my for a change. 9th period today the girl who sits in front of me, who I think is a freshmen (I'm a senior) passes a note back asking me if I want to go out with her. I said I didn't know her real well and said if she'd tell me a bit about herself in an E-mail, and gave her my e-mail address, then I'd decide. She's really cute though, slender, blonde, large blue-gray eyes, nice butt...

Yep, high-school senior.

I'm neither particularly good-looking nor terribly popular, being something of a loner, not on any sports teams. But apparently Sara noticed the tremendous bulge in my pants...or figured out that I'm a real nice guy.

She came into the library while I was waiting for my interview and hugged me and gave me a big kiss on the cheek.

Oh yes, the infamous "PFO letter". Trust me, you'll get may PFOs over the course of your life.

I may be mistaken, but never have I spoken to a HR manager who was willing to actually produce this 'wait list'. I have reason to doubt its existance, instead thinking its like santa claus for grown-ups.

Strange but true:

This job I have now originally told me I was "on the list" and sure enough, 4 months latter they hire me.

So, sometimes it really does work.

One of the most aggrivating PFOs I ever received was back in the 80s from The Ontario College Of Art. They needed an instructor for a class on MIDI studio production, a field I have extensive professional experience in. I applied for the job and then got a letter back from them explaining that normally I would have been considered for the position but as part of the college's bold equal rights initiatives they were no longer hiring male employees until the staff was a perfect 50-50 mix of male and female employees.

Equal my fucking ass. Decided it was for the best anyways as anyone that insanely PC wouldn't be worth working for anyways.

There is a discussion going on at a different forum I frequent about that. There is a woman there saying that if boys would back off girls would make the first move. A lot of us are having trouble not breaking into fits of histerical laughter.

This is a yes/no situation. For most people long-established expectations are in place. Whether a girl makes the first move will depend largely on what type of personality she has and how much she believe the old stereotypes pushed by movies/stories/porn/school/friends/etc.../etc....

Basically. If their an independant style of woman then they might make the first move. I know I'd make the first move if I though I had a chance. Which is another key point. Many girls simply wont ask because of fear of rejection!
