Yes, Fox really is making such a show.

I've been having a lot of people ask me if it is true that Fox plans to make a reality game show out of divorce. The answer is yes. The article was originally posted on Fark a month or so ago.

Here are some other links to the story.

From Divorce Disasters.

From Craigslist.

(sarcasm) What a great idea. (/sarcasm off)

Miserable bunch of scivers. "From the geniuses who brought you the Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer movie..."

Great. So from here, I guess we get 'Who wants to lick a still warm dead fetus?' in two years. Oh, or how about 'America's Favorite Wife Beater'?

(snort) This is why I don't watch much TV anymore.

Gah. You know, I liked "People's Court" back when they had Joe Wapner as the judge. I don't like the newer judges. I PARTICULARLY don't like the fake "court tv" shows. I never watched any of the Survivor (Survival? Can't remember, and don't much care) shows. Reality TV just doesn't hold my interest very much. I keep thinking that the shows can't get much dumber or more tasteless...and I keep being WRONG.

I don't doubt that Fox is making such a show, but the 'announcements' lists a yahoo! email address...wtf?

Is that legit?

I honestly thought people wouldn't be so surprised by this, Fox has been making horrible shows/decisions since their inception.

Part of me wants to have faith in humanity and say "Ok no. Fox would never sink so low as to make a show like that."

But I have no faith in humanity. It will be produced. If not for the next season, then for some season down the road, and it will be a hit because humans love death, carnage, and hatred.

Critics will blast it, pro-marriage groups will condemn it, but that will only make more people watch it. And since game shows and reality shows are so cheap to produce, it will be a winner in it's lineup, leading to even worse shows.

So Dr. Jack Kevorikian's "Who wants to kill themselves" or a REAL show like "The Running Man" or "Prisioner Mortal Combat" is about 5 years out.

So called "Reality shows" are so retarded (almost as retarded as the people who watch them)

Now they are anouncing a new one in which a Vampire, a Vooddo priestess and other weird (and pretty unreal) characters live in a house. Vampires... witches? What kind of reality is that? Last time I checked reality was supposed to be real...

Guys, come on. Some reality TV shows are good.

Like, the Simpsons, and Married with Children. <evil smirk>

True, all reality TV shows are horribly inane. The humor made me laugh, but only a little, when I was like 10 and watched America's Funniest Home Videos. Man, that show was trash. I mean, seriously.. what were my parents THINKING letting me watch it?

*shudder*

But a show about divorce? My god... The dating ones weren't bad enough, for people's sick, sick hearts... We need more emotional suffering on camera. I mean, yeah, we all think of violence as bad, but in some ways, this is worse... At least you get to die in Running Man. lol
