Back.. again?

Hello!

Long time no see... again...

I have the internets again!!!!!!! I've had it since the 10th and I'm ashamed to admit it only occurred to me to look up the forum today... yipes. (Since I got the internet again I've basically only been on neopets, my e-mail, my school's website and youtube...)

So, I wanna know what you guys have been up to for the last like two years!

I'll start:

I moved in with my boyfriend and started university in 2008, we got a cat named Halladay (anyone who is a baseball fan yes, THAT Halladay) last August and he is the handsomeest kitty (if not a huge spoiled brat)! My uncle in England recently died of cancer, but it hasn't totally hit me yet, though I'm sure it will be pretty emotional next time I go to England and he isn't there. My last semester at university was my best semester yet because I only got B's and A's (usually I am a C or D student due to lack of enthusiasm and poor studying habits). Overall, I am very happy and in love! Ryan and I are now living a beautiful apartment with so much sunlight (as opposed to our old apartment which only got sunlight in the morning because it was a half-basement) and we recently went to Ikea which made me giddy but of course I went overboard and spent like a hundred dollars over what I was planning to spend... but isn't that the way it goes with Ikea?

Anyways, now I'm in my third semester of my Biology degree at Ryerson University (Toronto, still) and enjoying it quite a lot. Right now I have a cold which is sucking but it has gotten quite a bit better over the last few days and I should be back at school tomorrow (8:00 am!!!!! ).

How have you guys been? What have you been doooooing?!

Yeah, the forum doesn't get a lot of posts anymore. After Ghastly stopped drawing, we didn't get any new posters, and the old ones have disappeared one by one. Fewer people posting = fewer posts to reply to, and thus the number of posts went down even further. Those of us who are still here don't stop by as often as we used to, because seeing no new posts is just depressing.

if I recall, you were sixteen or seventeen when you were last here. Add two years, and you should be at least 18 now. Which means you are no longer jailbait, and you can post all those pictures we always talked about

With or without a swimsuit Preferably both

I keep poking the forums now and then myself, just to keep them alive. I'm glad some of our used-to-be-regulars still drop in from time to time. Also, the IRC channel is alive and well! Lulu actually stopped by for a short bit recently, that was a pleasant surprise. Apparently she's living in the Czech Republic now, and doing well to boot.

Good to hear that she got out safely. I had been wondering, we stopped hearing from her about the time when things started really getting worse down there, at least that was my impression from the news we get here.

But the Czech Republic??? Why the f... would anyone want to live there? It's almost outside the known world OK, I believe the beer is cheap there, but still. Actually, we went there on vacation back in 1997 I think, and mostly we saw lots of Skodas. And a bridge in the middle of Prague. Not the most exciting vacation.

Perhaps I was not clear... What have you guys been up to? If you're the only ones who want to reply that's cool but you are not abiding by the rules of my thread... Tell me, what has been going on in your lives the past few years? I feel like you guys are my relatives who I never get to see... However, now I've moved back into the old neighbourhood and I need to know what gossip I've missed out on!

Also... I had an idea to get the forums back up... it's a challenge for everyone who lurks or posts or comes here sometimes...

REREAD THE DAMN COMIC!!!!

That's my intention... Then maybe we can all start posting about the comics, the topics in the comics, etc and rediscover what we love about the internets: UNKA G!

I doubt it'll work and maybe I'm just being young and hopeful but... fuck, we gotta try something other than complaining that no one posts anymore. And those who lurk and don't comment or start new threads, get your asses in gear. I know you're out there... this thread had 18 views but only 3 replies!

Oh and PS to Leeloo, I'm the big 2-0 now. So I'm basically an old lady, huh?

The very quick version - Went to england, nearly got married, Didn't, Lots of fussing and fighting and strife, She turned out to not only be a complete nutbar, but managed to hook up with some sociopathic rugby player from Saaaaarf lun-dun (possibly from Surrey, But You don't sound like a hard lad if you say you come from surrey), and from there there was much adventuring and cavorting and such. Just not with her. Travelled around Europe, Lulu and I passed like ships in the night - Not only did I duck through her city just after she left, she came through the city in england where I was living, but we didn't have time to say hi - second time that's happened, too. Got into radio, had a couple of shows, thinking of doing something like that again, but I don't know. Working on it.

Got back to Australia recently, trying to get everything set back up.

One is 42 and acts like she's everyones mother. The other is really nice, couple of years younger than me, many of the same interests as me... including... Yep, she likes girls.

I started my Master's degree in CS last year, I'm already halfway done. I'm focusing on computer games and also AI. I'm working full time at a decent small software company and I'm also doing freelance game programming on the side for Phoenix Online Studios. King's Quest for the win! Oh, and I got sinus surgery to clear out my nose. And I got my picture taken with a certain lady by the name of Summer Glau at FanExpo:

See I don't really have any sexy pics per se, cuz my boyfried is the jealous type and it's not like I could go up to him and say "Honey, would you mind taking some pictures of me in a bikini and slipping a few hoses down my top for the people on the internet? But gimme a little while to find everything from my semi-recent move, perhaps even wait until after my midterms in a couple of weeks, and I can scan in some photos of me/us from recently.

As for me, I'll admit I don't really read my forum as much as I used to. Been mostly sticking to my live journal and facebook.

Haven't been drawing much since my breakdown. I've been focusing lately on my performance art as a musician and most recently I've been in demand as an actor in the local theatre scene.

I watched your video(s) and I wanted to comment on your useless talents video: It turns out you have a third useless talent that wasn't mentioned... rambling!! You go on for 9+ minutes about two things! I love it.

Oh, and I remembered how to do the whole image posting thing so here are two pictures of me and my kitty from today... I have an ice pack tied around my neck with an old tea towel because I am sick and the outside of my throat and cheek have swollen a little bit for some strange reason. In the first picture he is thinking "OK, I'm done now, you can let go!!!)
