Though its gotten kinda lame lately, Ctrl Alt Delete was my heroin for a while.
I also read The Boondocks before it stopped, though Im not sure if that started out as a webcomic or was printed in newspapers first, anyway...

The gospel preacher, the hostile teacher/The face of God with an impostor's features
This is the prophecy - the cult leader/The people's temple, the holy ground, the war compound
Four-pound to rifles, disciples, the holy idles/Supreme truth, the cult leader with the green tooth
The multi-millionaire with a stare that can freeze troops/I program people to kill
The motiviational speaker, my words cause people to feel/It's mind control, let the cult leader guide your soul
Open up your eyes to the lies he told/The general, the chief, I be the political pioneer
The cult leader, you can believe in me, I am here/Bless the children, take you under my wing, shelter
Helter Skelter, this is it, you can't kill me I'll exist forever. Cult Leader!

Re: Other webcomics
Sort of on the subject, I had the pleasure of meeting several Web cartoonists for the first time at San Diego Comic Con this year, and renewed my acquaintance with several others.
Those newly met were: RK Milholland of "Something*Positive" who is one of the nicest people I've yet met in this field; J Grant and Mel Hynes of "Two Lumps" who were also quite nice, and delighted that my wife brought her Benny and Snooch plushes along (they neglected to keep a Benny for themselves); Brion Foulkes of "Flipside"; Jen Brazas of "Mystic Revolution"; Josh Lesnick of "Girly" and "Doctor Voluptua"; Mark Mekkes of "Zortic" and "ETI-PI"; Bobby Crosby of "Marry Me" and "No Pink Ponies"; Greg and Liz Dean of "Real Life"; Gene Ambaum of "Unshelved"
Renewed acquaintances: R Stevens of "diesel sweeties"; Brad Guigar of "Evil, Inc."; the ever awesome Jennie Breeden of "The Devil's Panties"; Phil Foglio of "Girl Genius"; Ryan Sohmer and Lar DeSouza of "Least I Could Do" and "Looking for Group"; Aeire of "Punch an' Pie" and Chris Daily of "Punch an' Pie" and "Striptease"; Scott Kurtz of "PvP Online" who *finally* permitted me to post my paper model of Skull the troll on my Web site (he found out that no one would buy one unless it was already assembled); Jeph Jacques and his lovely lady Cristi of "Questionable Content"; Dave Kellett of "Sheldon" who is yet another extremely nice person; David Willis of "Shortpacked" and "Joyce & Walky"; Kris Straub of "Starslip Crisis"; Spike of "Templar, Arizona" who is probably the best speaker of any Web cartoonist I've heard; and Bill Barnes of "Unshelved," my opinion of whom I shall keep to myself.
The two best Web comics panels were "Introduction to Webcomics" with Straub, Kellett, Foglio, Kurtz, and Guigar; and the Dumbrella panel with R Stevens, Jon Rosenberg of "Goats," Meredith Gran of "Octopus Pie," Andrew Bell of "The Creatures in My Head," and Sam Brown of "Exploding Dog," plus nerdcore rapper MC Frontalot who finished off the hour with a special performance for the Dumbrella group, with the cartoonists doing backup.
Oh, and Dumbrella made room in their very busy booth for Wil Wheaton after TokyoPop pulled out and abandoned him, so he spent a *lot* of time there and was even interviewed by Mahalo Daily in front of the booth.

Oh, Scarlet Weather Archive is on Google now, because I linked to it in my LJ ...
I'm still working up the nerve to link to it from TVTropes. ;3

Just link it. There really is no such thing as notability.Kittyboymuffin wrote:Oh, Scarlet Weather Archive is on Google now, because I linked to it in my LJ ...

Why are you staring at my bottom?
Re: Other webcomics
Personally, I could name examples of some 50 tropes for two series and one comic strip, but the strip is finnish, and one of the series is finnish, the other spanish, and I can't bother writing the short introduction to them every time, and can't bother writing up the articles.Epiblast wrote: Just link it. Re: Other webcomics
I have since done so. And added a "Japanese" name, Touhou Nekokayou (猫佳容 -- meaning "Cat Prettyface", or ":3")
