Call me old fashioned, but I'm currently reading an H.P. Lovecraft collection. Right now, I'm in the middle of "The Colour Out of Space." In fact, finishing that story was what I should have been doing tonight, instead of surfing 4chan /x/, looking for good creepypasta, of which I found none.

A compilation (if you can call two stories a compilation) of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass.

(Wipperwill, fix your link, please. Try doing something like this.)

The Drinking Den - Emile Zola
Eleanor Of Aquitaine (By the wrath of God, Queen of England) - Alison Weir

Also,

Rousseau - Gotz Adriani. Although I'm not so much reading this as I am staring at the beautiful colour plates. Such a lovely book.
I shall keep myself in oysters for the rest of the week, thank you very much.

In BBCode: [ url={url} ]{link_text}[ /url ]
Remove the spaces and replace {url} and {link_text} with appropriate values.

If you mouse over the URL button on the Post page, it'll also show you the syntax.

LOL. Nana plus Zola. Anyone else get the irony?

Just finished Jingo!, and generally reading Discworld at the moment.

Also, I've had Noam Chomsky's Survival Or Hegemony on my nightstand for so long it's not funny.

This is the prophecy - the cult leader/The people's temple, the holy ground, the war compound
Four-pound to rifles, disciples, the holy idles/Supreme truth, the cult leader with the green tooth
The multi-millionaire with a stare that can freeze troops/I program people to kill
The motiviational speaker, my words cause people to feel/It's mind control, let the cult leader guide your soul
Open up your eyes to the lies he told/The general, the chief, I be the political pioneer
The cult leader, you can believe in me, I am here/Bless the children, take you under my wing, shelter
Helter Skelter, this is it, you can't kill me I'll exist forever. Cult Leader!

Stick To Drawing Comics, Monkey Brain! by Scott Adams, the creator of Dilbert. It's a collection of random writings, most of which has been on his blog. (The name comes from the fact that if he followed advice like this, he'd never have gotten to where he is today.)

Just finished what books of the Apprentice Adept series I currently have (I'm in a constant state of losing and finding my old books), and I've started on a collection of David Brin's short stories, and a compilation of a Verner Vinge series, Through Realtime.

Good, innit? I like the bit where they went into the basement with the wet floors, and then the clerk invited him to admire the fornication. :3

Eiga Monogatari, or the Tale of Flowering Fortunes. I prefer the Heike Monogatari, which I read over the summer, but it is still quite nice. In general, I am very rarely let down by things with a manuscript tradition.

Knights Cross, a biography of Field Marshal Erwin Rommel.

in one battle during WW1 he took so many prisoners -with only three companies- that his superiors thought the battle was over.
