Oh shit, I think the laws of time and space may well have been broken with today's comic.

Of course, I've been seeing the signs of the apoclypse for some time now, I just didn't want to be the first to ring that particular weather bell, just in case I was wrong. But here it is.

First, we have Unkle G making reference to the forums in the news post. Not just regular reference, but actually doing a comic with Lota and Sholi based on what we were discussing, namely, who's got the cock.

Now.... now.. Its Jesus and Budda slash..

If you dredge the forum a couple of months back, you'll notice several posts on the subject of Buddah taking the 8 inches of Enlightment up his Spirtual Ass Path from none other than Jesus Christ. In fact, I myself wrote up such an encounter, and this all spawned the creation of a Livejournal group.

Seriously though, I think this is one of those cases of co-genesis. Either way, its hilarious to know that someone else is actually thinking thoughts of celestial faggotry.

How do you know what that jesus guy's intentions were? Or even what his life story was before all the editing? What makes you so sure he was at all better than Rael, L Ron, Asahara or most other modern era upstrarts? For all you know he could have really been an angry ultranationalist whose ultimate goal was to destroy the roman empire.

Is he drunk and angry for no reason, just because he's old and grumpy? No, he's constantly going on about how wonderful his whole message is and how it's just been corrupted by others, and how it's that that pisses him off so much. Sounds just like a lot of protestants(and some muslims as well). And he's constantly boasting about how he supposedly died for others' sins(and when he does there's never anyone like bill hicks around to tell him "Yeah, it was a long time ago, let it go"). And he never exhibits any of the tons of lunacy in the bible. So he's angry, big deal, for most of the old testament, god was a complete infuriated jerk.

I realize it's not entirely serious(although seemingly to me more so than anything else in GGC), but it's still a very positive portrayal, and due to how long that's been going on, I've noticed how odd it is. Just because this wouldn't be well received by the vast majority of relatively dedicated christians, doesn't mean it's not pro-christian, just that it's not pro-christian enough for them, or that it just happens to strike a nerve.
