I discovered on a person's Live Journal the other week a captioned picture of me which had it's source on 4chan and I made a post about how this amused me greatly.
Well I got an e-mail from a reader telling me that was far from the only photograph to suffer b/tardation. In fact, it would seem a favorite pastime on 4chan is taking the piss out of any webcomic artist brave (or perhaps foolish) enough to post a photograph of themselves online. I asked if she had anymore of the photos and she said she did but swore she was not the source of the b/tardations. She sent me what she had and I gotta tell you. I got a big laugh out of them.
My attitude is "have at it". If you put photos of yourself online you've got to do so with the thought in mind that someone, somewhere, sometime is going to eventually shop you. It's just a photo, it's not like it's actually you having sex with Bin Laden in a fursuit.
In anycase, I thought I'd share the b/tardations with you all. I suspect some of these come from people here on the forum because I know some of you are b/tards. It's okay. You don't have to 'fess up. I understand and respect the anonymous philosphy of /b/. It's pretty neat when you think about it as it requires a complete relinguishing of ego. The people there go to the effort one goes through for a Fark photoshop but without the payoff of the glory of having people acknowledge their work. I don't think I'd be able to do that, I'm too much of an attention whore, by golly. Of course that same anonymity means you often have to put up with people posting "Nigger Jew! Nigger Jew! Nigger Jew!" over and over again so it's a double edged sword I suppose. Interesting concept but as sad as it is for me to admit this I just don't have the stomach to wade through the loli, guro, and racism to find the comedy gold 4chan has to offer. Luckily I've got you guys to act as a filter for me.
Anyways, on to the show.
This first picture is obviously one of my blanks, but what impresses me is the obscure photograph of my head shopped onto it. I guess there are some people who save every picture I post of myself on the internet.
The next image is appearently inspired by an unflattering photograph of Fred Gallagher next to a picture of Piro with the caption "Wishful Thinking Fred". It's funny, there is a lot of me in Smokey, and a lot of Smokey in me, but I should note that Smokey is not really my avatar in the comic.
This is another one based on a Fred Gallagher meme which was a shop of his head on Spiderman's body with the caption "How do I drawed shit?" which was a morph of the Spiderman meme of "How do I shot webs?" Someone took the shrugging Spidey hands and shopped them onto my portrait.
This one was posted here before and is based on a WWII soldier education card which identified different soldiers to US soldiers as friend or enemy. Appearently it has become a bit of a meme to shop different people into it and identify what they fight for. I'd say hentai is as good a thing as any to fight for.
I have no idea what's going on in this b/tardation. Looks like an orgy of memes at work or something. Once again that pretty obscure headshot of me has been used. But hey gang, if I could draw hentai for your sins, I would. For god so loved the world that he sent his only begotten son to draw tentacle raped dickgirls that who so ever shall masturbate to them will not perish but enjoy everlasting orgasm.
This is the image here I stumbled upon on a reader's Live Journal. For those of you who don't read Japanese I'm saying "Am I a pervert?". This too is appearently based on a Fred Gallagher meme where he is asking in Japanese "Am I a weeaboo". From what I understand that's the word they use for otaku on 4chan, it's taken from a Perry Bible Fellowship comic (which was not actually about otaku).
This one impressed me because the person who made it must obviously hang around on the forums here because, by golly, they captured my speech style quite well. It's a morph of a rather racist meme of a very ragged looking black man with the caption "You gonna get raped". Although I'm surprised they didn't caption this one of me as "You're going to get tentacle raped". Perhaps that was too obvious.
And this last one isn't actually a b/tardation of me but a macro made from one of my blanks based on possibly one of the greatest memes to come from 4chan if not in terms of popularity at least in terms of concept. Loli haet pizza. I don't know why, but it cracks me the fuck up everytime I see a loli haet pizza macro. I suppose technically this one should be "chibi haet pizza". And yes, I did have Chibi Sue reference this meme in a strip once. It just seemed the perfect thing to do.
