Really, he seems sweet rather than tempting, per se. But if Pan only tries to tempt women, and the nymphs only tempt men, then where does that leave us gay folks? (Well -- of course, temptation covers vastly more than sex and I can't see Pan trying to tempt someone, to, say, corrupt business practices...)
Besides, there's a nice piece of music called Pan and the Shepherds, where Pan plays mysterious music to lure the shepherds to his cave. And there's *another* bit called Pan and the Nymphs where he does much the same with nymphs.
And he actually appears to be having more fun with the shepherds...
They still sound like birds slowly being frozen to death, when I play them. But I have it on good authority that they sound like Pan tempting shepherds when *real* people play them
Yaaaayyyy!! You're back! (I was going to do that when you sent me an email...but I'll do it now instead.)
