Hee hee. In IRC I'll announce that I enjoy someone's comic, then...
*DFG puts on her crazed, stalker fan outfit, a 100% black rubber cat suit, and begins to persue.*
Then I go squeak, squeak every once in a while.
*sigh*
This works ok for Ghastly, who gives everyone a big box of ass sex! when he sees them in channel. But unfortunately this is just too weird for some people, and they fail to find this funny.
Ah me! Such is the sad, sad life of being a demented fan girl.

My belief is that when someone refuses to tell you what they're doing, they're probably doing something pretty mundane but personal, so the best way to get it out of them is to presume that they've done something outlandish, like had to get out of a relationship via grenade launcher, or fighting crime in a rubber suit. Often, they'll just tell you to stop you from guessing.
If not, just pick the funniest assumption and use that. It's not historical truth, but it's entertaining enough to think about, and if you're a psycho fan, it doesn't really matter anyway.
