I saw one of the worst movies ever a few nights ago: The Passion of Darkly Noon... or something to that effect. It was made in 95 or so and had Brendan Frasier and Ashley Judd in it, and it was on late night cable so I thought I'd give it a chance. It was such a steaming pile of shit. It should be illegal to make movies that bad.
On a more positive note, I saw the Iron Giant for the first time the very next day and cried like a baby.
Okay, for the record, I didn't dare you. You said something along the lines of "I should post a movie list on the forum," to which I replied with something along the lines of "Go for it." So thpblpblpt.
And, also for the record, you can't have a "Worst Movie" list without having both Toys and Drop Dead Fred on it. Ain't happening.
And where's The Goonies, man? You give props to Cinema Paradiso, but not The Fuckin' Goonies? What's wrong with you? Movie King my ass, that's what!
------------------

Um I kind of like Toys. *prepares for onslaught*
Oh and I might be alone in this but The Abyss would have to be on my Favourite Movie list. The directors cut rocks.
Showgirls does blow, and you actually went to see Battlefield Earth? Knew that would suck balls as soon as I saw that it was based on an L. Ron Hubbard book. Those Scientologist are fucking scary.
-jen *lives too close to the Scientologist bee-hive*
[This message has been edited by violentmae (edited 06-07-2001).]

First of all, Goonies, while cool and great and all, is NOT one of the best movies of all time. It might have made my most favorite movies of all time, but just got knocked off. Raiders is a better movie than Last Crusade, but for some reason, I enjoy watching Last Crusade more.
And for the record, Cinema Paradiso has probably the best ending to a movie that I have ever seen.
And I haven't SEEN Toys, so I can't put that on there. I haven't seen any of the Turbulence sequels either...but I imagine they're worse than the original, since that's one of the requirements of a sequel.
------------------

Man...how can you give the last crusade the nod over the original Raiders of the Lost Ark? Sure, Connery was cool and all, but Raiders was just too fuckin' good. That ending with the slow zoom out into the giant warehouse of crates is one of my favorite scenes of all time.
Oh yeah, and Turbulence 3 was much worse then the first one. Damn, now I'm going to have to do a list too.
actual size (but seems much bigger)

Apparently, no one's man (or woman) enough yet to tackle the 10 BEST movies of all time. Unless best and favorite are the same thing to you philistines.
Though Quix said he'd get to it eventually, so I have faith in that. But favorites are all depending on individual tastes...so you can't really argue with some of that. I suppose best is the same way...
Batman Returns? Sheeeit.
------------------

Mofo:
As I said I have a weird sense of what I like in a movie and I dunno if you would like it or not. I was just overly impressed with the animation and I loved the soundtrack. I saw it in the theatre and enjoyed it so much that I bought the DVD. I also liked some of the humor that was used, especially the end. But I liked the movie

It would probably get knocked out of that #15 slot though because I forgot to put up Forest Gump and the goonies...
