Just a quick question... you know how at the end of the credits on all the Kevin Smith movies that he has some kinda preview for his next movie? Well, I was curious at the end of this one it had "God" prancing around again like in Dogma.... do you guys think this means anything or is he done making movies now since this one kinda summed up his other 3?
------------------

Yes, and no.
Yes, he's done making movies in his "Askewniverse" (hence the title of the book that God closed). J&SBSB was the culmination of the other FOUR movies. He's said everything that needs to be said with them (on film anyways, he's said that he'll continue to do stories in comic books, specifically Mallrats 2: Die Hard In A Mall) and now he's going to move on to new non-Jay and Silent Bob things. Fletch Won, hopefully. The original Fletch was the hype and since Kev says he learned how to write dialogue from Gregory Macdonald, it ought to be even better.
"Does it involve me dressing up like Little Bo Peep?"

I dunno, completely. According to newsaskew, if J&SBSB placed first over the weekend (which its not going to do) then he had very good news for people who liked Jay and Silent Bob. I always thought it was going to be the cartoon movie he was talking about, but you never know. But as for flesh and blood stuff, yeah, they're done. Cause if you watched all the way down the credits in each of his movies, he'll have something like: "Jay and Silent Bob will be back in...blahblahblah." But on this one, he had "Jay and Silent Bob have left the building." So I'm guessing that unless his next two films absolutely BOMB at the box office....he's done with J&SB.
But it was fun while it lasted.

Ah, yes, cartoon movie. Might wanna check out imdb.com... or to be specific, http://us.imdb.com/Title?0289900. Clerks Sell Out. The Animated Movie. Damn right.

Hmmm, I had forgotten about that actually. I remember him being asked if they were going to re-start the Clerks cartoon on MTV, and he said they were talking about it, but they decided to focus on doing a cartoon movie instead. And I suppose that would solve all his problems with his cast members getting old and not looking the parts as much anymore.
"And there's no one at the FUNNEL CAKE STAND!"

------------------

I heard from someone that his next movie was gonna be a sequel to Clerks... but that's going to be an animated movie??
Kevin Smith also does comic books? Sorry if I'm a bit ignorant on the subject... living in the middle of nowhere sucks considering the closest comic book store is like 200 miles away.
------------------

Heh, yeah that DD cameo was a nice touch. We stuck around to the VERY end just because his credits are always amusing and his Thank Yous are a riot. Plus we saw Alanis in the credits and were wondering where the hell she was. Though I was expecting more Dogma references. I remember reading once, Kev has said that Jay was the only one who would remember all that stuff with god, but no one would believe him. They'd just think he was high. Man, I want to watch those MTV shorts they did again. That one with Jay and Alanis waws fuckin' hilarious. I wonder if they have those anywhere online.
In addition to his Clerks-ish books, DareDevil, and now Green Arrow, he's said that he wants to write the Brave and the Bold too. No wonder he's not making anymore Askew flicks, he's not going to have the time. He's got this whole reverse evolution thing going on. He started out writing movies and now moved into comics instead of the other way around.
"I'm not leaving here without the stones."

Kevin Smith wrote Daredevil for a while... Did anyone else catch DD's appearance in Jay and Silent Bob? He was on the Miramax movie lot, but just for a second.
I think he writes Green Arrow now. And some other stuff. I'm not really sure, though.
Oh, and I missed the thing after the credits. I didn't know it was there.
------------------
