The Seven Sins and God

For my upcoming fiction, I've thought up a little idea for WHY the seven sins are Sins instead of just sinners. The reason is that their sins are ultimately directed at God himself, whether they are consciously aware of it or not. Here's my reasoning:
Lust = Wants to rape God
Wrath = Wants Gods right to punish*
Envy = Hates God for being God
Pride = Thinks he is better than God
Greed = Wants to be God
Gluttony = Wants to consume God
Sloth = Doesn't give a frack about God
I think we all know that, given the chance, Drip would fulfill the above requirement. Jack could well fit in. We don't know much about envy, but Pride really has to be that in order to fit the bill - Fall of Lucifer and all that. We know that Vince is greedy for power, and that would ultimately include the power of God. I'm sure that Bob and Lisa once spent a night up arguing what God tastes like. And Sloth?
Well, Sloth is the protagonist of my story. So we'll get in to that later.
Does the above make any sense?

Hmm... Interesting thoughts.
I might suggest that Greed generally wants all of God's creations (or rather to posess it all) or, specific to Vince's personality, wants all of God's power.
I would also suggest that Wrath doesn't necessarily want to destroy everything but wants God's ability to judge against what he determines to be evil. (I wish I had a way of describing that more clearly) Basically, Wrath is not just anger and destruction, but vindictive anger. Vindictive against those who wrong him, or something he loves, his values, etc. This opens one of the big debates on this forum, about "fairness". Since we use the model of the Seven Deadly sins, I think Wrath is the most interesting in that God himself dishes out wrath, but says "vengeance is mine".
I think what we see in Jack is, due maybe to the nature of his punishment, he no longer deals out anger, but he still has a hard time coping with what is "fair' and "unfair". I think it's interesting that Central (Justice) has an adversarial reaction to Jack (maybe because, in a way, one is a perversion of the other, I think it's interesting that their only conversation so far was about fairness) and that Farrago (Love) is trying to help him (maybe both because it's instinctive to strike out against those who "wrong" someone or something we love and that love is the only thing that can "heal" or "turn away" wrath)

To me, Jack as Wrath reminds me a lot of the Angel of Vengance in Neil Gaiman's story "Murder Mysteries."
In that story, the angel discovers the truth of an atrocity and deals out the appropriate justice, but feels that it may not be fair. Eventually it seems he is banished to Earth for second guessing God, but he still believes he is fulfilling his function. Not only is it his function to deal justice, but it is also his function to doubt whether it truly is justice.

does the food and drug adminasctarion cover that?
the raping thing was off.
hmmmm what if Gods are recycled like the sin? what if one can do several tasks to become a god like being, then duke it out!
(copyright me i think) yeah i should write... more

every thing would be better if Adam and Eve ate from the Bush of Stupidity
I think that it is more likely that god consists of the collective minds of ALL the pure souls that have gone to heaven. Or perhaps i have just watched to much Star Trek... Resistance is futilehmmmm what if Gods are recycled like the sin? what if one can do several tasks to become a god like being, then duke it out!

lol.....
I'm also thinking of wrining a "neotheo" idea, runing around in the forest with your mind in lala land makes you think better.
Neotheo....Neo-theologcal
"Nyatheea"
Nyathea, the 'grey god middle child syndrom' theroy with your "christan" twist.
sadly i had to have light come first, because darkness was ment to be the leveler of imblance, mercy, hidden knowlage, freer of pain and suffering.
grey god, nyatha is more phyisical, the god of 'earth' life, death, creation, destruction. the wolf and the hair, the rabbbit, the fox.
people forget Nyatha, light and dark become 'god/angel' 'devil/demon' Nyatha gets upset and unfirls chaos, light and dark grow in power and gain realms through faith. as of the three at the time, darkness gets angrey at the bad rap it gets, steals magic and bring it to the world. Light must retailate and brings the otherhalf.
L&D seal, Nyaathea, unbound 'god's wrath' will be set loose. "i've created you, and you forget me this is the thanks you give me"
oh Nyatha is shown as a child, a stupid child with a powerfull toy. shold i start drawing and get an account?
-Nyatha bathed in the joy of the creation of sun and earth...from joy and happyness 'light'was born, "hello? what is the world I'm in" said the sun, as a thick syrup liquide oozed from the sky. "it's so warm, *chuckles* i'm happy, the wind is warm, the earth cozy, I like it hear"
nyatha looked at the being, whom chose a 'female' form, "good, as my duties are, you shall be in charge of 'light', knowlage, compassion, warmth, healing, life and birth"
the days grew on, things don't die, but they are in pain, the sun dryed up the land, the plants witherd and the 'beasts' begged for answers "what is this we feel?" "this horrid thing, I...I..hurt......I hurt allover"
from sadness and grief, and the fact that a wrong was done, the sky darkned, the air coold, the beasts eyes slowly closed, painlessly, in a sleep-like state. 'Darkness' came. Bringer of death, infalable knowlage, mercy, hidden things and many other jobs. now there are three, to watch over this doll house of life.
-i've made a new beast,
-what is it?
-It walks on two legs, like a bird, yet has intellegence, but not as much as ours...
-and, what do you call it?
-thats up to them to decide, lets hope nothing goes wrong..
------
theres 'half'
the 'man' thing is uhm and accident.
i could do furs, but these gods can be what ever they wish....male, female, both, none, people's faith make D&W look like a human angel and an ugly draconic animal.
