So in addition to the fact the Hellish meat tastes funny, Lisa and Bob are doomed to eat each other for eternity? That's weird/gross. Extremely cool though. (I thought they got off kinda easy in "Fallen Angel")

I think it's a bit of both. What better way to express "gluttony" than two critters in one constantly eating each other? And switching forms expresses a constant power struggle between the two, as each gains control in turn and demotes the other to "just my cunt". Over and over and over...

In a way, <i>Jack</i>'s Hell is a paradise for the sins: now they can do "anything they want... anything" over and over and over without physical reality getting in the way. Yes, you get to do anything you want, definition anything. So does everybody else -- including those stronger and meaner than you.

I think the most interesting thing about Bob and Lisa is that because they are so keen to eat...even though they get to do what they want when they have control, just watching the other eat when they are stuck in the "consience" mode (or whatever you want to call it:)) would be one of the greatest tortures that could be imagined for souls as glutonous as they.

Just a thought...'cause I can't handle the fact that the really bad people get to do what they love when they are in hell, and get no punishment (plus there is also the precedent that Drip cannot enjoy any of the "pleasures" he did in life, no matter how often he does it (unless of course they willingly submit to him...so figure that one out)

Aren't the Gluttony siblings always gaunt to the point of being emaciated even when they've gorged on bodies? This lends credence to the previous posters argument. I don't think the sins Gluttony can ever satiate their hunger, they constantly want and cannot ever satisfy that want. Considering how primal of a need to satisfy an empty stomach is, that would suck to never have go away. I'm surprised the Gluttony twins are still coherent after an eternity (more or less) of starvation gnawing at their conscious mind.

It looks to me like they're each other's stomachs. Both want to eat, but they can't, coz they don't have a stomach, just somewhere for the other to live.

I thought it was one lizard takes up the main body, and the other is his/her stomach, just watching him eat. However, if she works up enough strength (perhaps perversely related to how much the body consumes) She gets to take control and chow down.
Watch how Lisa emerges again. (if you can stomach it) First her beak cuts out through the middle of her stomach, Then she rises up and it looks like her mouth is around Bob's chest. Then she closes her mouth, Bob's arms snap off, and she sheds Bob's legs (bottom of the third panel) I swear she's eating him.
In addition of course to the fact that they're perpetually hungry and Hellish food tastes rotten.
BTW, why does only Lisa have wings? (given the fact that neither have them on earth)

Also, in Medieval art, the Devil and demons are often drawn with a second face on their torso, with a second mouth (more like a gaping maw) on their belly. I think this was called a "hell-mouth".

But the second face and mouth on the Gluttony twins being slightly lower down also adds sick sexual overtones to it -- not blatant, just enough to be disturbing.
