We must also remember that with pleasure comes pain...there can yet be a plot device in store for ASCII that would make one's blood curdle. And also make your gut hurt from laughter.

Who knows? Maybe the intimacy is a ruse to implant something on ASCII.

Most of that doesn't sound much like Cal and Amanda. Especially Amanda, who I tend to see as a female Volair.

I get the impression, that the severe trauma being caused by her unexpected actions ARE the punishment. Especially for someone who, until recently, had turned off his emotions, and is now getting a full volume blast in the face with them.
