Glad to see someone still hates Unit Zero
Buuuuuuuuuuuuuuutanydangway, you needn't fear Unit Zero OR this "prequel" taking over UH2's updates, since I'm not going to use them for the hiatus. THAT dubious honor is reserved for various sequential-art sidebars, experiments, and minicomics mostly outside EITHER continuity.
NOW:
I have done a lot of thinking about the fact that my personal level of genre diversity well exceeds the boundaries of the Umlaut House niche. Unit Zero certainly wasn't perfect, but I'm pretty sure the primary reason it met with such a tepid response here is that it was very, very different from Umlaut House and as such a lot of the people who liked Umlaut House didn't like Unit Zero, or even the works of which it's derivative much at ALL.
My solution for this part of the problem? Alternate track pages, like these:
http://umlauthouse.comicgenesis.com/trickster.htm
http://umlauthouse.comicgenesis.com/walkabout.htm
These babies aren't like Umlaut House either. but they don't interfere with Umlaut House at all, so all is right with the world. I can even link to them in the occasional off-to-the-side update and nobody'll feel like Umlaut House is turning into some rogue's gallery of crappy experimental psuedounderground comics.
Even though to a certain extent that's definitely what's happening to my OUTPUT...
