Things that are pissing you off

Postby Ryan J. Smith on Thu Aug 09, 2001 5:38 am

I'm trying to get a long-running thread here so I can stir things up. Let's vent: Post and tell me things that are pissing you off.
Here's some from me-
Parents and Children- Parents in America overrate and overprotect their kids. They form big groups and have meetings on how to ruin things for the rest of us people who don't have kids in order to make raising their kids in the way they want them to be rasied easier. Raising kids isn't meant to be easy, so stop ruining everything for the rest of us. These soccer mom types spend all their time at some meeting and they come home to find the kid had burned down the house. Wow, I guess a cartoon is to blame, isn't it. No it wasn't because the kids weren't being supervised my their lousy parents. Bullshit. Absolute bullshit.
People who give "Shout Outs" on the radio and TV- I have four words for these losers: WHO GIVES A SHIT?!

Uh, that's it. Not much else is pissing me off right now.

Well, I'm pretty hard to get riled up, but even I have my moments. Oh, how I have my moments. So, let's see here...
Business and/or Political Agendas masquerading as Religion: Oh, you all know what I'm talking about. Ryan himself wrote an entire story arc about one facet of this miserable dance of deciet. Oh, they're everywhere, preying on the slow and stupid. Of course, you could argue that the slow and stupid are there to be preyed on by definition, but one should at least be honest about it. Exploiting people's dearest core beliefs for your own personal gain and profit is undoubtedly the most selfish thing you can possibly do. Grrr.
Vegans: Oh, for the love of the indifferent gods you simpering treehuggers, animals are made of MEAT. If I'm not supposed to eat them, how come I can gain useful sustenance from a nice bloody steak? And the taste...No way in hell I'm giving it up for the sake of a few stupid bovines. Double Grrr.
People who insist on speaking in l33t 5p33ch by CaPiTaLiZiNg EvErY oThEr LeTtEr, or who talk by abbreviating everything in ways I cannot mimic and retain my fragile self-respect at the same time: You brain-damaged gits are a discredit to the human race in general and to the anglophone world in particular. I cannot find words, folks. I just cannot find words. Godsdammit all to hell, I can't even if I were trying. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRR.
Attack of the Clones: FUCKING MAGGOT-SODDING PISS-DRINKING MAGGOTTY BLLOCK FUCK! CUNT CUNT CUNT CUNT CUNT! COKC MY SHIT WITH A RABID MINK! DRUNKEN WHORES WHORE WHORE CLIT-SUCKING SHIT HO APPLE COW SHIT!!!
...I feel so much better with that out of system. Thanks Ryan.
Oh, and for more of my violent ophidian ranting, please check my site, and seek out the Ranting section. Please? Be your friend...
------------------

Oh my god. I agree with EVERYTHING Proty just said. Especially vegans, I despise fucking vegans. Not only do they oppose meat, they oppose dairy. MIlk and cheese, are immoral to these assholes. I say we REAL men eat them.

I don't know or care from "real men" eating these products, but i say NOBODY tells me what to eat unless she's cute, naked and pointing to her crotch.
Anyway, I hate that fucking Keenspace keeps losing or erasing my goddamn usernames! I keep having to change my fucking name over and over and over again because these people keep screwing me over!! This makes my 7th one on Keen ALONE! We won't even TALK about how many damned e-mail addys got wiped! I try to keep the same name on everything, so I can remember the damn things, and I admit, I have had to change a couple of times because I got so mixed up I just wiped everything, messageboards, e-mails, everything and started fresh with a new name, but it NEVER fucking ENDS!!
Another thing that pisses me off way more than I let on in my other posts is how some people on the net can talk nonsense and get tons of feedback and anyone with anything halfway decent to say is ignored! (YOu'd have to go to my Livejournal for that civilized little rant.)
------------------

1: Moral-fiber, aka. "It's bad for the kids."
Well, I don't have kids, and I probably won't get any either. (20 might be a early age to say so, but I feel there's other things than getting kids like "one's supposed to". I hate that saying.)
Internet is NOT for children, and parents blaming others for what their children has "innocently" been exposed to should be THEIR responsibility.
In Sweden, this usually gets out with the media, but not with politics as in America I assume?
2: Religious fanatics or politics:
Every hardass that tries to FORCE their beliefs on people. Enough said.
I go by feelings instead of silly rituals or "must do" stuff.
3: Tech-problems:
Whenever my computer etc. goes malfunction.
Worst of all! Argh!

So much hatred... So little time...
I've got both ends of the age spectrum covered with my vitirol. I absolutely hate kids (if my company's medical policy covered it, I'd get a vasectomy) and I also can't stand old people. They move slower than glaciers, they buy fucking huge cars they can't handle, if you get stuck talking to one they'll yammer endlessly...
I hate Mtv... They don't play any music (or at least any music worth listening to) and at least once every half hour you get to see Carson Daly's ham-filled skull. And the programming is pure crap...
"Here's a look back at Spring Break from last year!"
"Here's 20 videos we can't show you!"
"Here's a rapper who's got a solid gold bathroom!"
And my head just about exploded when they started that whole "Fight for your rights because discrimination is bad and stuff..." campaign. Yes... I need lessons in how to be civil to other people from the most vapid, sexist, elistist, racist television network on the face of the planet.
Continuing with the musical theme... I'm really tired of all of these "Quasi-alternative" bands. You know the ones... Limp Bizkit, Korn, Slipknot, Uncle Cracker, etc etc ad nauseum infinitumn... Thank God there's always college radio and the internet so you can avoid all of this rancoruos pablumn...
I hate people who automatically assume everything is just "hunky dory" in our school systems even though those of us who have been there know it's a completely different story. When I was in high school I was miserable; gangs, violence, drugs, the whole shebang... I desperately tried to talk to my folks about the situation but they wouldn't hear a word of it... "Oh, you're just making things up because you don't want to go to school... Why, high school is the best years of young person's life!" Yeah, maybe if you grew up in the 50's and hung around at the FUCKING MALT SHOP!!!
And it really chafes my britches when you see some poor "alterna-kid" (punk, goth, whatever...) on one of those daytime talkshows and they get the whole "You look like a freak so we're going to give you a blandifying makeover!" I really feel for these poor kids. Nine times outta ten they're from some middle of nowhere town like Possum Ridge or something, and they don't dress like that to get a rise outta people... They dress like that because that's part of who they are. It's like a friend of mine who grew up in a small town once told me, "Being a punk may be no big deal in the big city, but when you're the only person in town who's into that stuff you catch the lion's share of shit." So what I'm gettin' at is leave them kids alone!!! They prolly get ragged out on a daily basis for just trying to be themselves. They don't need some dough-faced whore who lives in a bottle and can barely clutch the microphone to pass a judegment call on them... Dig?
[This message has been edited by rootstudio (edited 08-20-2001).]

FUCK!!!
S'Okay, though. I actually like this one better.
The 3 things in this world I am most serious about, when I force myself to get serious at all, may seem trivial to most, but I take them very seriously.
1. The representation of ethnic diversity in the media (or lack thereof.)
Television, Radio and Movies. Whenever anyone who isn't caucasian is seen, they are usually, even to this day in ways both subtle and overtly-in-your-face, some sort of stereotype, or peon, or way-way-in-the-background character that'll always wind up getting killed or brokenhearted in the first few minutes of any movie, written discreetly out of any television show, or has no vocals or visual presence in music or videos.
2. The treatment of Ethnicity, particularly Black People (Yeah, you heard me! FUCK Political Correctness! I was born a black person, and I have never been to Africa!) in Comic books. Comic Books are my life. I learned to read and write from comics. My fragile concepts of good and evil, fair play and injustice were formed from comics. I always wanted to write and/ior draw them whilst growing up, and I still do to this day. I am appalled at the rampant stereotypical cliche'd crap that blacks must be subjected to within the pages I love so dearly.
http://www.angelfire.com/zine/rosetintedworld/rant.html This ought to sum that up.
3. The treatment of bisexuals in this country. I'd be lying if I started out with the obligatory "Now, I have nothing against gays and nothing against straights", because I will be honest, I DO... But to be fair, it's not an overall thing. My bad feelings stem from one on one negative encounters with specific gays and straights who treated me like a second class citizen because I didn't belong to either of their little groups and had the unmitigated gall to be proud of who I am without being some flag-waving radical. I freely admit it's wrong of me to lump the majority of straights and gays into that category based on a relative few, but the world ain't gettin' any smarter, and sexual intolerance is at an alltime high. At least I'm TRYING to have an open mind, which is more than I can say for them.
http://www.angelfire.com/zine/rosetintedworld/rant2.html This is my anger.
