Hello Kat <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/biggrin.gif">
As much as as long as I've seen and enjoyed
your art (quite a while too!) I've been itching
to ask: Is there some super-fancy lettering
program you use for your captions and word
ballons, or do you actually do all of that BY
HAND? O_O If the former is true, could you
please let me know what is it, it'd be *great*
to have a copy! And if (as I suspect) the
latter is true, well, my hat's off to you sir.
It's truly neat! <P>One other very minor query (and don't worry,
no way would I pull an RHJunior on you, you
<I>clearly</I> know what you're doing!)-as much
as the Boodles care about each other, is it
at least a techincal possibility that they
would ever be in an adventure where they
wouldn't yiff? I know that cute yiffiness is
your specialty (and you've earned the crown
with class, I must say...) Just wondering if
it would ever seem to be a limitation to the
comic for there to *always* have it.
By all means keep up the good work! <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/smile.gif">

Heya Big G! <IMG SRC="http://www.keenspace.com/forums/smile.gif"> Yes, of COURSE I hand-letter
all my art! Computer fonts look, well, frankly
static and lifeless to me. Not to criticize
you or anyone else who uses them, but I gotta

Personally, I've never seen it as a limitation,

Hey, YOU do the same! The story you're cooking

do a webcomic is: Do what you love best. You're
gonna need to push yourself to draw it, and
if it's a chore to do, if you don't really
love to create, then you probably won't get
very far. Go to the main Keenspace site and
look at the number of comics that are listed
as "old" or "no comics". True, some of these
just got activated, and haven't started yet,
but a lot of them are either artists who had
a brief inspiration and lost it, or never even
got started after applying for a spot on
Keenspace. Then the next thing I would suggest
is to get as far ahead with your stuff as you
can. I already had one comic I could put here
that I'd drawn a long time ago, and that gave
me a chance to build up a backlog. I'm now about
a week ahead, and I plan to stay that way. If
you want to a comic, you should think about
what kind of work you want to create. Are you
good at gag-a-day stuff or do you want to do
longer stories? Are you better at drama than
humor? Is your style realistic, toony, "cut-
and-paste-and-just-change-the word-ballons"?
You'll have to have all these things made up
in your mind *before* you start or your comic
won't really go too far.

I do indeed! But what makes you think that
you couldn't do the same? Your present story
suggests that you may be going into some more
detail about the Boodles and their world.
(Already we now know where they live, in
Yiffburg...)
