Hey, I'm all for relationship storylines. But sometimes you gotta throw some spices into the soup if you catch my meaning. ^_~
------------------

Sunday's comic illustrated just how far these two have to go before they can find each other. They both want to be together, but they also both need to deal with some issues before that can happen, otherwise it will end badly. Scott needs to come to grips with the fact that not every relationship results in the loss of a good friend, and I suspect Annamae has something that's holding her back too. I think it will be much more satisfying if these two have to work a little harder to find each other.
(wow, it's been a while since I got this speculative and analytical about a comic)

I liked "...the hell?", it reminds me of the time I.... Never mind. But yes, action would be nice.....BUT SO WOULD REALISM!!! That's why I like this comic, it's more real...
by the bye, remember to check out "High(school) Life" coming soon... ok, when ever I decide to get offa my arse and get a scanner. (and Dennis, I apologize severly if my work looks anything like yours, stories will never be the same. Promise.)

besides, we have seen the distance between them; it will be a while before any relationship comes about. may as well pass the time with robot bugs.

Well, they're not realism, that's what I was trying to say. he was breaking that certain... thing that made his comic cool. BUt oh well.

Okay, the first thing I thought upon seeing today's repeating panel strip was: Tomoe. Y'know, the crazy possessed scientist in Sailor Moon S. You've got to have the original instead of the dub to get the full effect.

TOMOE!
Yes. While the character himself will not turn out to be much, if anything like ol Tomoe, this week is very much inspired by him. He was my fav Sailor Moon Villan.
And as far as Jesterman's post is concerned.
Real life is nice. But it gets reptative. And I don't wan't to be writing the same damn strips over and over and over. Becuase if that's the type of story FOGclub was meant to be I would have ended it by now.
Just imagine: "Scott and Annamae like each other. They don't know it at first. They find out. Scott and Annmae make out like rabid weasels. THE END" Not exactly entertaining is it?
The truth of the matter is I enjoy writing science fiction/fantasy much more than anything. And Neoranger is a prime example of how I like to do different things with this comic. Everyone knows what it's like to go through what my characters are going through, which makes them easy to identify with, but their entertainment value decreases over time, as does my interest in writing them, if change doesn't occur. This week is called "Foreshadowing" for a reason, NOTHING TOO BIG WILL HAPPEN YET.
We are going to have a big halloween story in Ocotber that will be very odd and most likely feel out of place, but trust me, IT WILL SERVE A PURPOSE. And then for November and December, things will be more normal. But as for next year? Well, you'll just have to wait and see.
------------------
