I've gotten everything else in terms of Faans gear, but don't really like the t-shirt. In order to offer actual constructive critiscm I went back through the archives and pulled out every strip I think would like really cool on a t-shirt. Since it's not really worth it to make a t-shirt for one person, I'm hoping that enough other people will agree with one of my selections that T will find it possibly worth it to create one of these as an alternative. I tried to keep it to one strip per character, but couldn't cut down myself anymore on a couple of the most interesting people.
The main thing I see is that most of these are full pages, or things which require a lot of context to achieve their full significance. I think a t-shirt needs to be fairly simple in design, with a large primary visual element.
My example would be the bottom panel of this image, for Rumy:

(with text caption:
She's Also Very Shy
FAANS.COM)
This would be a good one, especially with the speech balloons removed (the text can be the caption, along with the FAANS.COM tag line). On the one hand, it's very busy; but on the other hand, it does not require any knowledge of
Fans!, which is a
good thing.
Another possibility is the central panel in
http://www.faans.com/images/78.gif
(Caption: "
Registration Went Pretty Well at The Con this Year")
How about the bottom panel of
http://www.faans.com/images/51-3.gif
(caption: "
A Manly Comic for Manly Men
FAANS.COM"
How about Alisin's close-up panel of
http://www.faans.com/images/86-4.gif
Perfect -- either use the bottom two panels on the front of the shirt, or put the nex-to-last panel (
http://www.faans.com/images/176-6.gif) on the front, and the last panel (
http://www.faans.com/images/176-7.gif) on the back.
How about the upper right-hand panel in
http://www.faans.com/images/81-4.gif
(caption: "
Arlen Staranka
Two-Fisted Writer

Hmmm. I'll have to think about some other possibilities.
