So... "It hurt My Eyes" is about the brain's invasion... okay.
So... the Fans aren't being affected one bit. That's... odd. But... okay.
There seems to be more than one brain... and this one is not only beligerant, it's the harmless one. Perhaps a decoy?
I'll probably think of something in a moment.

It hurts my eyes may just start with the invasion of the 'brain' or whatnot... the General does mention that it contains many, many facts about Katherine. Who knows what else the book contains... Holy Scripture and all that bunk to some, most likely ^_^

Two random points:

1: I thought the brain's dialogue in the beginning was goddamn hilarious, I can't be alone on that.

2: Does that thing remind anyone else of the Deadly Brain from ONI?

On the predictions and speculation section. What do you think is going to happen when the brain comes in contact with Rumi? If it is indeed associated with the cicklets as it claims, what'll happen when he mentally connects with a mind that gave birth to one?

1) It hadn't focused it's attention on them yet.<p>2)Funny, but annoying little bugger. Must've absorbed WAY too many couch potato's thoughts.<p>3)It only following the thought-traders ION trails. that's what you get in space travel. now, if it were their thought patterns, then Rmy might have some concern.

Well, if shutting it down involves pressing switches in four different locations, the gang is going to have a much easier time of it than Konoko had.

Okay.. Today's comic had me OUT of my chair, ROLLING on the floor, LAUGHING hysterically, and RANDOMLY typing words in capitial letters. I like the brain that found Jackie and Guth. It looks like a giant puppy made out of fleshy pink wrinkly stuff. Can we keep that one and send this one back to.. somewhere else?

I'm not sure what to make of this invasion. The brain seems to have quite a serious case of delusions of gradure. Maybe a shot from the General's gun could clear up that mania. Yeah, man!

But what I'm more concerned about is Meighan and her prof. Okay, can we say CREEPY? What is he? A fanboy in diguise? Weird.

Who knew that when the Alien Menace arrived, it would be so goofy?

I can almost hear Count Floyd's voice, adding, "And oooooh, kids, it's SCARY!"

...And now, back to Doctor Tongue's 3-D House of Brains...
What do you think is going to happen when the brain comes in contact with Rumi?
Well, we have already seen, from everybody's favorote scene of the team preparing for battle, that Rumi has mastered the art of clearing her mind utterly of all thoughts. She's probably well-nigh invisible to the Giant Floating Brain while she's in that state.

As for the others, they'll just have to recite the Litany of Beer from Jonathan Rosenberg's Goats. That should do the trick.

Suppose this brain is a projection by the other to distract the fans in the car while it sucks the others?

Check out Tim's face -- looks like he's getting ready to scramble some brains as only he can.

The team on today's page followed the brain in their damaged but still operational vehicles. They caught up to it around the time that Guth's IQ dropped below 50.

There is only one Brainio on Earth at the moment.

There CAN be only one.

One: note that the brain is female (although how you can tell, I'm uncertain)

Two: this one has definitely been to the traditional villain. You must reveal your entire plan to the ones who will defeat you before doing anything.

Three: Jones seems to be enjoying himself over the plot of... ET 2? Oh, dear GODS! Say it ain't so!

I thought it was a dead ringer for "The Brain From The Planet Arous".

Aim for the Fissure of Rolando, Will. Actually, coonsidering what they watch they probably already know that.

Ah, The Brain From Planet Arous. Classic 1950s sci-fi. Gotta love that dog.

None of my local stations show those old low-budget movies anymore. A piece of my childhood just slipped away without me even noticing it.

I hear you, Macc. In the Tampa market, there was one independant station that had a long-running sci-fi/horror movie program on Saturday noonish.

Then the host died. The station decided that the host couldn't be replaced, so they started airing reruns of other programs in the timeslot. This was about the time MST3K began on cable, and the mindset of the small stations probably was "well, we can't compete with <i>that</i>".

50 eh? Hmmm........that put Jackie aaaat......3? *giggles*
There is only one Brainio on Earth at the moment.
Thanks for the exposition T. Wait a minute, exposition.....AGH! T's Brainio!!!!!
There CAN be only one.
Ack! A Highlander Brain? How can we cut it's head off!?!?!

Ahhhhhh......I like the idea of Tim force feeding it some choice thoughts. Notice that we have the victims of the the brain trader in Thrown Switch here. Tim, Will, Rumy and Rikk are all here. This should be interesting.

I'm hoping that next week we'll get to see how one of these stories unfolds (hopefully the guys with Brainio) by means of Shanna's book commentary.

I just realized something. If T gives us the play by play through Shanna's eyes next week. Explaining things as the action unfolds.... it'll be like that Fans! Commentary idea from awhile back. T using Shanna to vicariously comment on what's going on. Interesting.

Hmm... how do you figure? T calls Brainio "it" and Rikk calls it "he", and as far as I can tell, that's all the information we have on its gender. If it even has one.

this is where it gets confusing, cause jones called the brain a 'her'. so, is it an 'it', 'he', or 'her'?
