There wasn't any reason for Will to tell anybody else about his gig before now. It's not like the Fans all get together at Mail Call and read everything aloud to one another. Or it could be that he already told the other Fans what was going on in his life earlier...even so, it didn't need to be told in the strip.

Yet another Newbie here... Been reading CRFH for a while now, and had absolutely no clue what was going on when the crossover hit. So, I spent a couple of days reading Fans top to bottom, and I have to say it is now one of my favorite comics.
Anyway, I'm thinking maybe the whole April and Will thing is setting us hope for another crossover. Wishful thinking, perhaps. Unless they plan to resolve that particular arc during THIS crossover, but I gather it is nearing an end.

After reading Drooling Fan Girl's post in an adjacent thread, logic dictates that I remind you of a happy fact:
T Campbell WRITES Fans!, not draws it. And he writes other comics too.
It may be a possibility that in the future, a Will and April comic, written by T and drawn by Maritza, could happen...a separate story from both CRFH and Fans!
Or it could be an ongoing subplot with occasional cameos, guest appearances, and so on. Which could be a lot of fun for all concerned.

I am a romantic at heart and you guys just drug my romantic nature through the whole April and Will setup, now I get to see April and Tim be depressed for the next month.
But perhaps, just perhaps Will and April will start sending letters to one another then just maybe...
ahhhh........ now I feel much better... besides, if I recall correctly April is going to try and catch a show that Tim is doing in New York.
One can always dream.

------------------

I hope they correspond, and get to know each other. This could be the Begining, instead of a premature End. Perhaps T and M have some thoughts about where it could go, down the road, and will let their relationship develop "naturally" as opposed to springing into being fully formed.
The other way it could be played is as unrequited love, where they're dying to be together, but their duties to they're respective comics never allows it. That could be cool, too, but T and M would have to keep stabbing us with little reminders of it to make it work. It couldn't be left asside for too long at a time.
Here I go, typical newbie, telling the authors what to do. *sigh*
I just hope this connection that was originally "forced" isn't forgotten, and that it somehow effects Will and April along the line.
Nullset out.

Consider this as a possibility...
At the same time that Will is in New York, April decides to go there to see Will. CRFH follows April as she's in the city, but never manages to catch a glimpse of Will beyond a performance. At the same time, T may or may not be covering what's going on in New York. Chances are, the comics' timelines wouldn't be in perfect synchronization, but that's OK, as it wouldn't need to be. It's not technically a crossover, as much as mutual cameo appearances. April manages to see Will for a brief while in CRFH, and Will may be able to see April (but not realize who it is), in the same time period in Fans.
Did that make sense to everyone?
