Wait. Upon re-reading it, I think I might be a little too hasty.The pause before saying "assignment" and her change from "lurk" to "watch" suggests that Shanna may have an ulterior motive for being here. Perhaps she might even be bending the truth a little about there being an assignment.I think Shanna might be here because she wants to walk on the Fannish side, she's just not comfortable with admitting that to her friends yet.

*checks the source code for deleted spoilers*I know that Shanna has changed. Heck, there may not even be such an assignment. not to mention we don't know how long it's been since they've been back. It's another magical "three week period" between storylines.I was very happy with today's page because of what it meant to the story. It showed that life was going on as usual for the club and they weren't snowballing dead into the CRFH crew right away. It also showed Rumi drawing (yay), Rikk noticing (yay!), Rumi getting over Red (yay!), Tim showing that the flash presentations meant something to the character (yay!), Rumi picking up on Tim's patriotism in her drawings (yay!), Will still showing an active role in club leadership (yay!), Alisin acting like a club member (yay!) and most importantly Shanna becoming more of a part of the gang(say it with me....yay!). And we still get to see what happens when they meet the Roomies!------------------

I have to say, that's one of the better Shanna quotes, up there with "I disbelieve.. I mean, I don't believe this" or however that one goes.(and Rumi's sketching again! And Rikk noticed. Just goes to show that he's not exactly imperceptive, he just has a selective blind spot.)

Yeah, but Shanna seems EXACTLY THE SAME as she normally was. I was hoping that the story-arc would have changed her somewhat, made her a little more in tune with her fannish side.Goddammit!!!I demand change! I demand evolution! Especially where it logically should happen!!

You have a very good point there.Shanna went from mundane to Escaped Psycho, and now she seems exactly the same?I think we should wait to see a few more strips with her, but I really hope we don't get Star Trek Syndrome here.Odds are we won't. Just going coming over from my usual lurking seat in CRFH to toss a little thought in:Has Shanna ever been taken off her little suspension or whatever that was placed near the start of the series?Also, WHAT IS WRONG WITH LURKING, SHANNA?!? I think it's more that "lurk" is another one of those terms you don't hear much outside of fandom. She tries hard not to associate herself with the crowd, and tries harder not to succomb to their terminology.------------------
