I just realized why I like The Corruption of Ted so much.

The "nerdy high school kid losing his/her virginity" story has been done in plenty of movies so far. However, the character in need of a little corruption always (1.) goes out actively pursuing someoone to have sex with, and (2.) is so damned good-looking there's no way in hell he/she would still be a virgin in any average high school.
So what I'm really saying is: I like The Corruption of Ted because Ted is just a goofy-looking kid, and because sexual stuff always just kind of happens around him without him expecting or necessarily wanting it. (example: everything Amanda ever does.)
I don't know if this post had a point, but if it did, I hope it illuminated something.

Heh. Yeah... I kind of think it's neat because I try to make every character real... IE, Ted's not just "a nerd", Carla's not just "the weird friend," and, as you'll find out, Amanda's not just "the crazy girl" and Miss Jordan's not just "the Penthouse slut". And don't even get me started on Mr. Frost. Or the lunch lady.
Mr. Smythe is probably the only person in the comic who is exactly what he seems. A sad, horny, overweight old man.
------------------
