Eligibility for Guardians requires your comic to contain a Superhero/ine as a central or frequently appearing character. This is a scifi/crimefighting based dropdown: defenders from alien invasions and mafia overlords welcome.

There is a minimum standard of quality for the dropdown. The bar isn't very high, but if your comic makes my eyes hurt or is unreadable due to poor font choice then you might be turned down. A coherent storyline for non-episodic comics would be nice too.

Your comic must also have at least 10 full pages or 20 strips archived and your storyline must have reached a point where I can tell whether or not you qualify.

You also need to place one of the following dropdown codes on either your main page (preferable) or your links page.

Comic Rating: I'm not all that familiar with the American rating system (we have a different one over here), but so far I've been classing it as PG for bloodless and cartoon violence and some swearing (so far it's not been worse than 'bloody hell')

By "superhero" do you mean actually "super" ("powers and abilities far beyond those of wimps like me") or is "costumed crimefighter" (a la Batman) acceptable?

While he may be genetically-enhanced deficient, I've always considered batman to be a superhero. So yes, that's fine.

The word "superhero" never actually shows up on the dropdown anyway.

Okay, then. While the dropdown doesn't say "superhero" your description up above does, so I wanted to make sure.

You might want to check with the authors of Point Guardian and Mindmistress, two other comics I follow, if they'd want to join.

Hey ya

I'm not sure if my comic really fits here ... there's lots of people with superpowers but none of them are really practicing heroes. In particular there's nothing I can put under "codename" because, well, they're not allowed codenames.

And anyway, I'm a few short of the "20 strips" marker. But, if you say it's good, I'll come back a week on Tuesday and fill out an application...
