KeenCombat Dropdown

Welcome to the KeenCombat Dropdown forum.
KeenCombat is a webring for Keenspace comics that illustrate move-by-move fight scenes. Fistfights, swordfights, gunfights, car chases, outer space dogfights, etc. all qualify as long as it is choreographed in the comic instead of occurring off-panel.
To join, please give me three links to places in your comic:
1) with a 7-move or more fight scene
2) with a 5-move or more fight scene
2) with a 3-move or more fight scene
The moves can be in multiple strips or, conversely, in the same panel.
However, energy blasts, a colored swipe across a black background, simply a limb with a weapon clashing with another armed limb that's just confusing, or (G-d help us) a text description of the fight (which I have done, but I think I'm the only one who's ever done it well) will not count as a "move."
If your action sequence would make it on
http://hownottorunacomic.keenspace.com/, it probably won't qualify as one of the two.
The tag for this dropdown SHOULD be:
<BR>[A HREF="
viewtopic.php?t=64200"]<CENTER><IMG SRC = "
http://guide.keenspace.com/images/banners/4288.jpg">[/A]</CENTER><BR>
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="javascript" SRC="
http://plotlessviolence.keenspace.com/i ... "></SCRIPT>
(except the ['s and ]'s should be <'s and >'s , they just don't show up on this forum properly)
here's hoping it works.

Your banner got me thinking: wouldn't it be cool to get a tattoo that looked like dried blood on your face? To go with a partial red hair-dye job that looked like blood spattering? No one would ever mess with you.
As for the dropdown list, I've already e-mailed or tagboard or forum-notified the list of keenspacesites I mentioned, but no one else has responded.
Surely there are other webartists who consider themselves scholars of the highest form of body language?

Kottakokoro here. I wouldn't mind joining. though my comic is not going to be straight out choreogaphing each page like plotless violence, IT'S ALL I DO IN MY SPARE TIME!
I thought i'd have my banner up now.....crap. it was really cool.
uh..
temporary fix.

Attention all:
Due to a new anti-hotlinking technique Keenspace started, the new code is:
<!--NEW KEENSPACE DROPDOWN SCRIPT CODE START-->
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="javascript" SRC="
http://plotlessviolence.keenspace.com/i ... "></SCRIPT>
<!--NEW KEENSPACE DROPDOWN SCRIPT CODE END-->
If that STILL doesn't work, I'll figure something out.

Better news: Keenspace's anti-hotlinking does not block java programs as far as I know, (which is what the dropdown is) so this WOULD work if the other members would make the alteration I've stated (namely, change the word "workspace" in the html url to "images").
Also, who wants to design the logo to the Keencombat Dropdown? I can't because I can't draw.

I'll give it a shot.
What do you want on it? Dimensions?

small, like, say, half a standard banner.
Something that shows the beauty of combat.
I'd need to change the code slightly, but that's not a problem.

uh, cool shadow effects and all
But didn't I ask for something half as big as a standard banner? That's, like, 3-4 times as big as a standard banner.
Also, what's up with the leg/foot at the far left? I can't tell who it belongs to.

the reason its probably not working is cause your throwing it into workspace. If this is the case throw it directly into public.
if this isn't the case if you can pm me your code I can see if something there is wrong.

I'll try to darken the lines more but what do you think?

It's a cool pic but I already prepared the banner awhile ago.
The current code is:
<BR>[A HREF="
viewtopic.php?t=64200"]<CENTER><IMG SRC = "
http://guide.keenspace.com/images/banners/4288.jpg">[/A]</CENTER><BR>
<!--NEW KEENSPACE DROPDOWN SCRIPT CODE START-->
<SCRIPT LANGUAGE="javascript" SRC="
http://plotlessviolence.keenspace.com/i ... "></SCRIPT>
<!--NEW KEENSPACE DROPDOWN SCRIPT CODE END-->
(note the []'s at the beginning should be <>, but I can't type that here or the Forum automatically htmls it instead of displaying it)
Right now clicking that banner merely leads to this forum, but if we get a webpage or something for the dropdown, I'll change that.

Gentlemen, and I say that because I'm a chauvenist, since I started the dropdown, I've only been able to find three sites willing to join. I am therefore considering expanding membership to non-Keenspace sites. What do you think?
