12 -18 Comic
Other then your comic still being a day ahead of me...
I am glad to see you posting again. Congrats and WTG
I don't normally pester and bug people about their comics but I think you have talent, and great style and should keep plugging away.
Good luck.
I hope to see more soon.

I'm so sorry to read about what happened, but I'm glad to see you're still being optimistic without holding or denying the pain.
Also, nice work on useing the paper's natural texture slanted for the rain effect.

...and then everyone ate cookies and read "The Adventures of Captain Mooki" and were happy!
My deepest sympathies!
I was in the same place a fortnight ago. The difference is that I do not have your talent. Your latest artwork expresses the emotions so realistically; it is just so Eisner. The old saw is that an artist can never go from good to great without pain and suffering. Time will heal the wound and the scar will slowly fade but it will never go away. Life goes on and you have many people out here in cyberspace who care.
Now go blow off some steam, no drinking and driving, and look forward to a new day.

ah life...
First things first....
Thank you.
I've enjoyed the art and story before, I look forward to doing so again.
Next....
People who use the quote "Tis better to have loved and lost than not to love at all" are either one of two things. Unknowing sacks of sentimentality or fellow sufferers.
I've had breakups. Good ones and bad ones. I actually don't have the dubious honor of being "just friends" with any of my ex's. The women in my past are either gone to the wind or added to the list of THEY WHO SHALL NOT BE NAMED.
Repeating "Time heals all wounds" is overused. It doesn't help when you look at that little "nothing" gift that "THEY" gave you and you start feeling all those bad feelings again. People trying to cheer you up can HELP... but it get's annoying sometimes.... Sometimes you just WANT to feel bad...
Suffice to say, I know the situation. Been there, wrote a book, buried the damn thing.
You have an outlet. Making the comic must have been a good release for you (plus a decent reason to cry for a few minutes and get it out of your system for a bit)
I think you'll do well expressing yourself in comics. Keep it up.
And just so you know... It never get's better. It get's DIFFERANT. If you let it, the feelings you feel now will STAY. But you seem WAY too strong to let a situation control you for long. You can't control what the world gives you. But you do control YOU. From what I'm reading, you aren't just sitting around WAITING for life to give you things. Moving locations, changing who and what affect your life, all give you differant options and input. There will be new people to meet, interact with, and with a lovely fun person like yourself, to love. I'm sure of it.
Good luck Milady.

Wow...
Thank oyu all so much...
I'm not depressed though...
The comic did help me a lot, but I haven't had the oportunity to make another one yet...
I've been working to midnight every night since the comic because of the holiday season.
My new job at John T's unique gifts is wonderful...
I love Nun Zilla!
anyhoo, I'll make more comics when I can...
but it's becoming difficult to find the time to check my e-mail, much less make a comic....
Thank you all so much...
I'm not over Steve (who can me, that wonderful Lug!) but I'm over my pain over him (am I over easy? Ha...sorry, Egg humor)...
We talked this morning, both in good spirits and good humor...
He's been drawing like nuts, and I've been working....
We're good!
It's not what we had, but that doesn't mean it might not be better.
^_^

'Lo lovelies!
As for me, I am writing after a great day of watching Evengeleon and writing No Stereotypes the comic (really this time!)...
I'm over Steve!
A new comic is on it's way (sometime) and I'm working on an uber-special project for the keenspace.com freebook this year...
if you're on the list, you already know, but if not....you'll like!

I was just looking at the add for free comic day and keenspace.
after i was done swearing (because keenspace still hasn't got my account set up after almost 4 months) I was excited to see them letting the keenspace group get some exposure in print.

Oh Goddess.
*hug*
I'm so sorry, dear friend.
*sigh* Sometimes a clean break is best though. I have a feeling from some of what you were saying that you were thinking of moving to NJ (going to move in with Torg, Riff and Zoe to help with the rent? *smile*) and that breaking up... *sigh* maybe it... *shakes head*
It's much better to be friends with someone, and have those fond memories, than try to cling to something when the miles are many and the time between visits is long. You have a future to pursue. And who knows what the future will bring for you, dear friend.
Hell, you might even have me drop down to visit you when you're rooming with Zoe and the others. *wink* (Sluggy Freelance references btw, for the uninformed.) Um, I'd visit to meet you of course. Nope, not visiting just to meet Torg and the others, not at all! *shiftyeyes*
Amber... I'm in the middle of a long-distance relationship, with both of us understanding it probably won't work, and yet still stumbling our way into this LDR. *sigh* It hurts. I think LDRs might hurt *worse* than a breakup in many ways. And while I am only assuming the reasons for the breakup (and I suspect I know when it happened - during a certain hiatus in Melonpool?)... *sigh* anyway, I'm here for you, dear friend. Even though there are many miles between us...
*holds you close*
I wish I was talented enough to draw you a hug, my friend. Sometimes... words fail.

BTW, dear. The site looks fantastic. I love your new logo art.
However... The Dagda pointed out that when you click on First Comic it puts you on a page with minimal buttons and no way to move forward. Day 2 also has no comic but some comments on the site being finished. And the drop-down menu bar doesn't seem to work.
But the site itself looks absolutely beautiful, modern, and spectacular! *hug*
