Heh, well that's one way to teach them manners.
Yes, sir. I agree completely. It takes a well-balanced individual... such as yourself to rule the world. No, sir. No one knows that you were the third one... Solidus. ...What should I do about the woman? Yes sir. I'll keep her under surveillance. Yes. Thank you. Good-bye...... Mr. President.

If Thelma thought she'd never be able to compete with the Pop's Auto girls, it looks like she found a way...

If Thelma isn't wearing tights under those overalls, they'd better be glued on, or her modesty has really gone south. Can't think of anything that could pop open or reveal too much in a wrestling ring as easily as unsecured bib overalls.

It took me a second to understand why I thought Thelma looked odd, then I realized she wasn't whering glasses.

Good point! Of course they might just be wrestling tights with a few cosmetic alterations to give "The Hillbilly Hellion" the right look.

Manners

Post by TGIF »

Not that I ever would have thought of Tuck as possibly being too bossy or pushy with Thelma (and I realize that this feeling doesn't make sense since he did force her into the contest), but after this display I think we're at risk of the opposite - that Tuck will be too timid to stand up to Thelma now that she's shown what she's capable of.

(Unless this is a general "hillbilly vs. city folk" attribute, in which case Tuck would be in the same league as Thelma.)

Thelma's expression in the second panel is priceless - I can't wait to hear her explanation on how she got to this point.

Why? Thelma's excelling in a traditionally male role. Oughta make Hortense pretty happy.

You can fool some of the people all of the time
And all of the people some of the time
But you can't fool all of the people all of the time.

[...unWARP!!!]

Good evening.

I was just about to comment that her outfit was a bit...revealing...though she did wear it ONCE before (image available only on the CD), and then ONLY for Tuck.

Remember people, everything in the ring is STAGED!!

If you think Hortense is scary, don't look at Tuck. He just borrowed some of Nip's "fireworks"...

...Just fly, you fool!

Actually, no. I think she is much cuter the way she normally dresses. Even with glasses.

This isn't as far fetched as you might think.

Several years ago, at the end of a meeting that I participated in, a mixed group of men and women who were very focused talking about the results of the meeting "followed the leader" into the lady's rest room!
