OK I think Charlie went too far.
"I want to have your baby" is somthing even I wouldnt say and im probably one of the most deaspreat guys on the planet.
If I was him I would hug her, mebe even kiss her, but umm... Nah, I wouldnt go that far.

I agree, the remark was meant for comic effect. Although she doesn't seem to mind too much.
Strange start for a potential relationship. He dumps all over her, she dumps all over him, and now they seem to be meeting in the middle. Who knows, maybe she will be able to get some sense through Charlies thick skull. Maybe, in a while she will be able to turn him into a moderately decent person.
