It's rather obvious to me then that these kids do not understand the true meaning of abstinence. Even more amusing, it leads to girls who will do oral and anal and claim they are 'still virgins'.
I'm a 23-year-old virgin. I made a vow not to have sex, of any kind, until I'm married. I am not convinced that kids are "gonna do it anyway", because I didn't, despite how horny and sex-deprived I've been all these years since puberty. I have self-control. Mostly because my parents expected it of me.
You are right on one thing though: abstinence education doesn't work. But then, what the hell do you expect when schools try to teach something that is the parents' domain?
