Yes, sir. I agree completely. It takes a well-balanced individual... such as yourself to rule the world. No, sir. No one knows that you were the third one... Solidus. ...What should I do about the woman? Yes sir. I'll keep her under surveillance. Yes. Thank you. Good-bye...... Mr. President.

Yes, children, there was once a time, before the Box of Distraction and Flashing Lights reduced us to merely twitching our thumbs, that we would actually entertain ourselves by means that did not involve electricity...

Honesty is the best policy, but insanity is a better defence.

What's on the cards?
That is what the children sing at the "reveal" of the card at the end of each segment: "Pythagoria Switch" It's the name of the Japanese children's show these come from.detrius wrote: Any idea what's written on those little cards?
According to Steven denBeste, it comes out as "ピタゴラスイッチ pitagora sui-chi" (hat-tip to Steven denBeste's terrific Chizumatic Anime site - scroll down to the 20060417.2030 entry).

Oh, goodness, those were incredible! I must admit I got tired of hearing the same thing over and over again, but still... it was well worth it.
Makes me want to go build chain reaction thing-a-magigs myself now! (I'm sure the fact that paper-writing is the alternative has nothing to do with that fact. Actually, I'd probably want to, anyway, but the paper-writing alternative probably strengthens the inclination
