Hey! So, I'd like to see this forum a little more active than it is, but I'm not quite sure how to do that.
Part of the problem, I think, is me. I'm not all that garrulous a person, and I'm not out soliciting comments. I don't talk just to talk; to quote the Talking Heads' song Psycho Killer: "When I have nothing to say, my lips are sealed. Say something once, why say it again?" And no, that choice is not an accident.
On the other hand, my readers don't seem to fill the forum with questions and comments, either. And they don't seem to talk to one another in my abscence. And when I do ask for comments, I don't get a whole lot.
So I'd like to have something going on here, but, like I said, I don't know what to do. F'rinstance, I could hold a contest, but what? And I don't really have anything to offer as a prize except a guest appearance or some such, since I really doubt anybody would want a piece of original artwork (especially since I do a LOT of editing my drawing on the computer).
Another candidate is a comic jam-thingy. Yeah, I stole that whole from Funny Farm (who stole it whole from someone else), but I think it's a cool idea. It's a lot of work, though, and I just got through a guest-strip week and am in the middle of a crossover, so maybe that loses a little of its oomph.
I dunno (and that's the problem). Anybody got any ideas? I suppose I could make that a contest. Yeah! The "Fight Cast Or Evade Decide the Contest Contest!" Or, maybe not.
Whaddaya all think?
[This message has been edited by Matt Trepal (edited 04-12-2001).]

Maybe nobody likes you and thinks your comic sucks, and the only reson there's any posting here at all is because we're communicating in secret code to make crack and/or arms deals secretly.
Hey, it's just a theory!
------------------
