This discussion is about doing the next grouping of artist. It started as a disscusion to maybe do an other biKEENi summer and someone suggested making it a 2001: A Lace Odyesse instead. So Matt, I was wondering if maybe you'd participate.
Maybe another Portia?
-Captain Mike

Sorry to disappoint, Cap'n, but you won't see her until I'm good and ready to show her. Which is soon, but not for the Lace Odyssey. But I have got a very stylish idea for Portia; I hope I can get her to come out the way I want.

quote:
And Fan boy is allways on duty. Heh. I remember reading somewhere that the fundamental difference between Canadians and Americans can be summed up in various documents of nationhood. While the Declaration of Independence mentions "inalieble rights" such as "life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness," the British North America Act was passed "to promote order, stability, and good government," or something to that effect. Of course, I couldn't find that phrase in the BNA as I was looking through it just now, so it might be apocryphal, but I thought it was a good story.

Is the fanboy peering out, Cap'n?
I've been following it, and have been thinking about what to do. You do know that I'll have to do Sashi (or maybe Stillwell) in his boxers, then, just to strike some balance.
Anybody got some characters they want to see in the boudoir? Besides Portia, that is, who I'm sure is on the top of everybody's list.
[This message has been edited by Matt Trepal (edited 06-13-2001).]

So, Cap'n, and everybody else, here's a sketch I've worked up for the Lace Oddysey. I hope to have the final pic done by this weekend.

Whadaya think?
[This message has been edited by Matt Trepal (edited 06-28-2001).]

So, here are the finished FCE pics for 2001: A Lace Oddysey. I suppose they should be up on that site some time Sunday afternoon (Monday morning Australia time), but I'll post 'em here first. And they'll go into the Gallery, of course.
The first is Portia, just like the sketch above.

The second (for balance) is Dozer.

Enjoy!

Woo Hoo! I love it! I'd be doing catcalls for/at Portia but I don't want a lightning bolt up my but.
Dozer's is funny. Althoug I would've gone with him saying something like:
"Not all of us are beefcakes some of us are just CHEESEcakes."
-Captain Mike

"smouldering" I think.
M N above was me, by the way. My forum account is cursed, apparently. Once a week or so I turn into Mother Nature. One of the oddest things...
------------------

Thanks, both of you! I was trying to draw "real" eyes for Portia (that is, not just little black dots), but I'm not sure they came out any way other than kinda creepy. And glad you like Dozer's tail, Pooka! It's been shown in other strips, but this is the first time it's been colored.

PDI's just went up on Monday.
