Chapter 21 Comments

Since the forums are a little slower now, I thought I'd try out a new method: giving each chapter its own thread. This . . . probably isn't going to work, because people will just make their own whenever they want to say something. . . and that's ok too.

I really just wanted to say there wouldn't be an update on Friday because . . . the backgrounds in the first scene have a lot of . . . atmosphere, and it's taking me awhile to put them all together. ^_^;;

But now since I've made a whole thread for chapter 21, this is totally relevant to the forum, see? Eh? Eeeeh?

There was one thing I was curious about, what is that on struan's neck? Odd question I know but I can't help but wonder what it could be.

Hehe, It's fine. It's called a torc, old celtic jewelery. He was wearing one the first time he was in the story, so I gave him another one. The first one was fancy and had animal heads or something . . . but now he's got a plain one. Maybe he has a jewelery box full!

I check by the forum once every one or two weeks...granted my life's not disorgnized or if I'm actually sleeping solidly, heh. Discussion per chapter (leaving it up to us to discuss pages) seems like a good idea to me!

I generally have a lurking habit unless I think of something to say. ^_^' but I think it'll at least increase my activity.

You know, even the most minor comment or silly off-handed question can affect the story line, so I always would encourage everyone to post anything. Actually, quite a few of the character questions often inspire me to put things in the comic! And someone asked if Colly were ok after he got thrown into the door: that led me to give him some blood trailing out of his mouth and at the end of Ch. 21 there will be a couple pages leading off of that too. Of course, this could also mean that it'll take LONGER to get to the end, but I don't mind long journeys so very much.

I like how bhruic looks on the page, more so on panel 3, he looks even more sinister since the last time I saw him.

Lol no way, I came to mention how much I like that 3rd Panel too...

However I was looking at the chair in the 1st for a few moments wondering what the heck it was (Duh)

I thought it was a cape being flung behind somebody or something but the perspective was way off

Anyway, how interesting, we're in Mr No Shirts castle. Maybe my question about the kiddies will be answered!

I like how bhruic looks on the page, more so on panel 3, he looks even more sinister since the last time I saw him.

Maybe it's the thick eyebrows!

I think it's the combination of his eyebrows and that grin of his. Well, plus those eyes and that recognizeable nose. Without them...he'd just look weirdly average, and maybe not so villainesque! *imagines this alternative reality Bruic*

I'm excited that we get to see and maybe learn more about his terrible self!

Also: It's good to know that our thoughts affect your writing, Anne. I wasn't sure how much our ponderings were taken into account. Inspiration from input's fun =) and adds a interesting dynamic.

Scruffy...kid, I think O_O running around Eanwulf's castle...odd, normally they're dead, not running around. Although I guess the kid could be dead AND running around instead...*shudders the thought* Kay, now I'm on the same level of creeped out-ness as everyone else is with this guy. xD

Also, observations! Three guesses on what, watch we'll all be wrong! I'm guessing...the Colly/Faylin situation! Bhruic did seem somewhat interested in that, and maybe Struan's reporting back to him!

I noticed that one of the stains on the wall looks like a handprint, I shudder to think why that would be. I'm curious why bhruic would trust eanwulf with anything, let alone information gathering.

As he said today, part of it is because Eanwulf fits in better around Colly's surroundings, and part of it is his arrogance, he believes he can control anyone with the right amount of rewards/dominance.

I have had several people mention that they really dislike Eanwulf's nose! Something against unstraight noses I suppose . . .
