I wonder if this has anything to do with the rigamarole of the new thing, but I have tried all three updates and my archives page (which is in the public_html folder) is not updating to the newer version that I had put in there.

I don't see your archives.html pages in your /workspace/webpages folder. You must have it in the /workspace/webpages folder in order for AutoGenesis (and AutoKeen) to update it.
