Hello,
After registering for CG a week ago, I just got an e-mail with a link to click on. After clicking on the link, I end up here where it is asking me for an activation code. Where do I find this activation code or how do I get it?
Best,
Mark

It should be in your email if I remember correctly.
Re: activation code
Hi,
I'm hoping to get an answer from support. I have no activation number.

Re: activation code
Very odd. As stated above, the activation code normally goes out with the email. CG does not have a "support department", other than the user-to-user support here in the forums. However, an issue like this is beyond the ability of the forum people to help you with.
At the moment, the only thing I can think of is to wait until the application lapses and try again (so you can use the name you originally wanted), or try again with a different name or use another host. CG is kind of limping along at the moment. You could try Drunk Duck, SmackJeeves or WebComicsNation (or all three and then stick with the one you like the most).
Sorry, hope this helps...

Re: activation code
Hi,
When exactly was I supposed to get the activation code? Isn't there an owner/admin of the entire system, who I can contact?
I'll quote the e-mail here. As you can see, no activation code. Also, nothing in the e-mail says that the account will expire. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Re: activation code
Can you see your comic using a browser?
That's not the activation email, that's the Welcome email. It has your url and FTP password there in the middle.
You should be able to see your sample comic if you go to your comic's url (or a blank, black screen if you use IE - see this page and this page if you get a black screen).
Also, if you use the FTP password and url, you should be able to get access to your comic account files using an FTP program in order to start updating your comic. See here for a quick "getting started" guide. Also have a scan over the tutorials in the CGWiki

Technically yes and technically no. Comic Genesis is owned by KeenSpot Entertainment, but they don't provide any support or assistance for CG (it is provided "as is"). The forum has a number of mods and "staff" who help out as much as they can, though there are limits to what they can do. Technically, if there is a major issue with your account the admins for CG are Kisai and STrRedWolf - they are the official "staff" of CG, though they do have their regular jobs to do plus their normal lives so they are able to supply only limited support. Generally they mainly get involved in system-wide problems (such as when the server falls over).Isn't there an owner/admin of the entire system, who I can contact?
