Pog name
Does my pog have to have a certain file name when I submit it, or can it have a name I choose?

Re: Pog name
As far as I know, there is no specific requirement for the naming of pog's.
However, be aware that all pogs appear together for the staff. So if you need to talk to someone about your pog (getting it approved or deleted or something) it'll be easier for them to find it if you have the name of your comic as part of the name of the pog or in some other way make it easy to find.
Case in point: if your comic is "Glorry" and you have the pog "glorry.gif" and want to replace it with a new one, the new one can't have the same name. So if you call it / them "glorry_01.gif" and "glorry_02.gif" etc then that makes things easy for everyone. I don't know if having the letters "pog" in the name help or hinder or make no difference.

Re: Pog name
Naming your pog doesn't make any difference in terms of making it easier to find in the mess that is the collection of approved/pending pogs in siteadmin. When approving them, there are no links to the comics from which the pogs come -- only to their respective artists' forum handles via the PM system in case they need to be messaged about a problem with their promotional material.
In siteadmin, there's an "Upload/Approve Date" column in the promotional materials section; if you're talking to an admin-type about approving/deleting/whatever-ing your images, be sure to give them the exact date and time from that column. At that point, it might be useful to know the pog's filename or to have a description of the image on it in order to confirm that the right one is being approved/deleted, but knowing the date and time is the most important thing.
The only time that naming your pog really matters is if you have multiple pogs in siteadmin for some reason. For example, if you're uploading a new one and want to get rid of the old one. In that case, you MUST give your pogs different names, or else both will (necessarily) be deleted.
