password problems

Post by Mlaatem_Popcorn »

Hey, all.

comicgen's been acting really weird lately. It seems that whenever I log into the forums, then try and go to upload a comic to the new siteadmin, this message comes up that basically says my browser broke, and it doesn't recognize my password or username. this happens off and on like ad, to the point I'm about ready to change my username.

any suggestions on how to fix the problem, or how to go about changing my username?

It's probably related to a recent change though the underscore might not be helping either.

Log out of the forum, log back into the forum with Mlaatem_Popcorn (and not mlaatem_popcorn or Mlaatem_popcorn) and you should be able to get into SiteAdmin. I think the underscore will still stop you logging into the Wiki though.

If you want to change your forum name, you can either simply create a new forum account with the new name or you can send an email to one of the admins (Kisai or STrRedWolf) and see if they can change your name for you.

If I create a new account, will I be able to edit my comics through it?

Yes, though you shouldn't need to.

Note that if you do choose to create a new forum account that you will need at least three posts in the forum in order to access the Wiki. You don't need any to access SiteAdmin, though accounts with zero posts are deleted every so often (since they are normally spam accounts).

yeah, I've been having this same problem >< I've gone insane, trying various browsers, accounts, etc...

I log in and out of the forums, request a password change, and then try logging into the siteadmin. It always works after all that, though I've never been sure what I was doing that was making it work...

I deleted my temporary internet files and cookies and that seemed to end the password loop. The option to delete temp internet files and cookies is usually under tools: options: privacy on firefox or IE.

Okay, so in the last post I sounded like a complete idiot, but this really does seem to work! What I do is login into the forums (if I'm logged in already, I log out first) and then I post. Walla! Then I can access the SiteAdmin.
