I just deleted my comic that should be at
http://geektragedy.comicgenesis.com/d/20051023.html while trying to update some picture files with cleaned up versions. Can I recover it? Is there something like a "recycle bin" on the server? i think it was called 20051023b.jpg. Please help

Well, if you just load the file into your workspace folder again, and run a full update then autokeen will put it where it's meant to go. just make sure you give it the same name as before. I believe that's all you need to do.
If for some reason you don't have a backup of the file somewhere then you may be in trouble. I don't know if there's a server dump for deleted files but I kind of doubt it. But seriously if you aren't backing up your comics somewhere then you really, really, really should.

No.
There isn't a recycle bin on the server. Servers do have backups though.
But even if CG has a backup, it would be an enormous leap of service for them to go to the trouble of restoring one file for a user. This is why they say to backup everything.
I'm sorry, but if you've erased that file and don't have a backup anywhere, barring some major crash where they have to restore EVERYONE'S files, I doubt you'll get it back from CG.
